Don't fight him when his ult is on you or when his W is up...basically don't fight him at all unless you are Jax or Tryndamere. You are not gonna beat him in a straight duel so just chill and farm, he doesn't really have a lot of kill pressure.

You don't have to beat him, you just have to make sure he doesn't beat you.

redniwediS2 votesHere's a match I played as Garen against Trundle last night. We didn't win, but we held our own for quite a while. I didn't say it would be easy, or that you wouldn't die.
Your jungler should focus on mid and bot lane and NOT gank your lane. It's fully up to you to find a way to deal with Trundle and his jungler.
Find opportunities to teleport gank, and save your cooldowns for fighting under your tower. You know they will dive you, so do your absolute best to make sure you at least get a kill out of it.
Again, your goal is just to survive and stay relevant for the other stages of the game. Once it hits mid game you can roam freely instead of babysitting your tower. If you are underfed you won't be able to help your team take Trundle down, so just farm as safely as you can, stock up on a ton of health potions, and don't do anything risky.

It can be done, even with tower dives. Focusing on Trundle, rather than what you can do to help your situation, will simply hold you back.

Trundle doesn't have any dashes, whatever champion you're playing probably does. It's not that hard to get around his pillar when he ults, just run away when he ults then go back when its over >->
Sachabot1 votesAlright, so I'm gonna actually take this as a serious non-QQ thread even though that's what it is. As a former Trundle main (S4), here's what I had the most trouble against:
AP/magic damage Range Hard crowd control High mobility
Basically, Trundle is like Darius in that you shouldn't sit and trade AAs with him. You want to kite and poke around him, or stun him and walk away before he can fight back. If you don't do either of those, you're gonna have a bad time because he's designed to win when you play his game, like most champions. His design is just simpler than most and brutally effective for it.
TL;DR Don't play his game if you can avoid it. If you can't avoid it, minimize losses and look for plays elsewhere.

Make him fight you in your creeps. Don't fight during his ult. Nasus? ^See above
Who actually loses to him? Rengar maybe? Pantheon? Yorick? Riven? Honestly tryndamere, who somebody else mentioned for some reason, would be one of my very last choices against trundle, but even then tryndamere can do his typical play-like-a-pussy-and-push-towers-all-game strat and still be plenty useful.

It's the teamfights where he starts to lose power.
