Please just drastically increase their MMR. Look at people's kda. Look at their cs. If it's consistently Master level... they're probably Master :)

Stinrygar1 votesNah, it's really artificial and somewhat subjective to have those metrics affect MMR. Maybe it can start testing you vs better players a little earlier but MMR should always just be win/loss just like in sports.
AceGeo1 votesI only say affect MMR as a means to solve the problem. I honestly hate smurfs and nobody really has any ideas to solve the problem. So it was just my suggestion. But what do you mean by "testing you vs better players a little earlier"? Like during your provisionals? That sounds fair to me, except the smurfs want to be in low elo so they throw their provis on purpose.

it's not even a problem, they just need to detect them earlier and place them in tougher games
smurfs are no more of an issue than some new player getting lucky and placed above his tier for 10-15 games
