Why don't you want me to play the game?

Everyone knows that short time between champion selection and loading creen when you must not Alt+Esc or the download wont start, right? For some reason too often, and most commonly if I try to play ranked, the same event happens without me triggering it by pressing Alt+Esc, I always need several minutes to reconnect because the game won't let me in and more often than not my team remakes before I get back. I want to point out that I never leave a game intentionally out of my own free will, no matter how bad it is I play to the end, but I can't play to the end if you won't even let me get started. I don't know what is causing this, so until someone helps me understand and fix this, I'm going to blame the game and its makers, Riot. I mean seriously I get penalties for something I have absolutely 0 control over, do you intentionally want me to stop playing again? Just when I was about to fall in love for the second time after all this time?

Why do you punish me I just want to play this wonderful game :'( Now I regret buying new RP if I'm going to have to quit...

I'm not sure if this is Gameplay or Player Behaviour so I'm rolling the dice.

This happens when you're loading into a match, right? Why use that time to look at other things when you could instead be gathering your thoughts and steadying your head for the game to come?

I know it's tempting to alt-tab, but being distracted during the loading screen isn't exactly helpful to having a successful match.

I feel your pain, it sucks to get DC'd due to a bug or malfunction in the software rather than by your own choice.

Perhaps you should submit a ticket to Riot Support, they may be able to help you to determine the root cause of the problem.

It could also be that you have too many programs open and your computer slows down due to running out of memory space. I recommend keeping your web browser closed whenever you play. I also recommend limiting the number of programs you allow to run while you play. For example, Steam will download updates in the background if you leave it open, sometimes slowing down your connection and inhibiting your ability to load into a league match.

To close steam, or twitch, or skype, or some other programs for that matter.... You will have to go through the program menus to close it down instead of simply hitting the 'X' in the corner to close it.
