Potential Fix to Tether Abilities

As we all know, some tether abilities, namely LeBlanc's Ethereal Chains, sometimes feel very unreasonable to play against. This is generally due to the tether range. You can flash away from it, yet sometimes it will still not break.

My proposed fix is that tether abilities (excluding some like Fiddlesticks's Drain) are changed to work like Kled's Q, Beartrap on a Rope. The tether, once attached to a target, will slowly decrease in radius. If the user is not in the radius at any time, then the tether will break. This forces the user to commit to following their target if they want to get the second part of the CC off.

This will greatly reduce the instances where champions are able to throw out their tethers and barely have to do anything to keep them attached, while making gameplay more interactive for both players.

Eh not all tethers, just Leblanc really. Morg ult shouldn't change and neither should Karma's tether (unless it's bundled with a Karma rework/revert!!).

Noone else in the game even has a ranged tether other than those 4 right?

I'd say there needs to be more visual clarity.

And the only broken tether imo. is LeBlanc's. You should be able to flash out of it.

LeBlanc's tether is coded so that the hitbox is edge to edge rather than center to center like most tethers, so it makes the range deceptively long. Riot needs to fix that, but its probably on the back burner with the preseason changes coming up and another iteration of a rework for her in the pipeline.
