Nasus can't stack. When ever I try to stack i just get jumped on and lose more then I gain.

SuperNova0079··1 votes·1,569 views

Nasus cannot be a useful team member unless the enemy doesn't know how to punish Nasus for trying to stack. The choice between going in for that minion kill with siphon strike or staying back to not get punished is stupid, Because either way YOU LOSE. You either go in waste Q on opponent and get out damaged simply because this game is rock paper scissors of who does the most damage. Or you try to get last hits with Q only to lose 30% of your health or more getting only 3 bonus damage added to your Q, or you sit back and do nothing so.

So one way or another you lose the trade either in the short term and long term or just the long term. If you stay back you avoid damage but will never get any stacks. If you go to trade then you lose a chance to get a stack and still lose the trade because the enemy out DPS's you. I think they should make it so going in for that stack is always the better choice.

I feel like stacking should be more rewarding in the short term as well as the long term. What I mean is that the stacks really become noticeable after about 150 stacks. You can see small differences in damage as you stack up but 150 is a small power spike. When you reach 300 in 20 minutes then you are golden and are a reliable tank. But that is only in the long term. If there were short term rewards that allowed him to stack with less risk would mean that Nasus could be more of a help more often. Nasus should be a character where getting that bonus damage should be a risk. He relies on it to be effective so he should be able to have a way to stack safely without overwhelming amounts of punishment for it.

However stacking shouldn't be punish free. If he was guaranteed a way to stack by always healing back the damage you do to him then he will reach 400 stacks in 20 minutes and you wouldn't be able to stop him. However currently the punishment for getting stacks is far too much. So I say that maybe he needs a way to heal back more health so he can sustain him self in lane so its safer to stack.

So i suggest this:

Nasus should get a special shield when casting his Q that is worth a lot of hit points but goes away if he damages a champion with his Q or 2 seconds after successfully killing a minion with it. If you fail to kill the minion then the stack goes away immediately upon hitting it, and, If your shield is destroyed before you attack with the siphon strike buff then you lose the buff. So if he fails to gain a stack successfully then he gets punished. So this way It is more rewarding to get successful last hits with siphon strike. But if you decide to trade then you lose the shield and will take damage in addition to the enemy. So no one wins the trade because you dealt near equal damage to the other. It makes perfect sense to me. He can control trade condition just by stacking. So no trades result in a win or loss so you just keep stacking. The counter to all of this would be easy. CAMP HIS LANE. ITS THE COUNTER TO LEAGUE OF LEGENDS IT'S SELF.

If you disagree with this tell me how to get around getting punished really hard and still get stacks efficiently. THANK YOU

Are you actually insane? You want to give one of the best late game champions a reasonable early game? Are you mad?

Don’t give me that excuse of “Oh games are too short to get to late game anyway.”

All this buff idea would so is buff him to the point of snowballing him to that powerful late game of his.

SuperNova00791 votes

he can never get a late game unless enemy is bad. Everything I have said has a reason behind it. Everything you say is just down right wrong and has nothing to justify it, and you just think that will make everything I say automatically invalid?

When your suggestion is to remove his weakness, yes. All your buff will do is make harassing him impossible because you won’t be incentivized to actually trade.

“Oh, so I only get a shield when I fight, alright I’m going to afk farm while negating your damage with my lifesteal and obscene shield.”

SuperNova00791 votes

well he has too much weakness and no way to offset them so yeah you should at least give Nasus a chance to feel what it is like to be useful. also if the shield is destroyed he loses siphon strike. so you couldn't afk farm. the shield only lasts until your siphon buffs end. you make it sound like it lasts forever. Stop twisting things in order to stop buffs. You are just afraid of buffs.

How often to you hold onto your Q as Nasus? You cast it then instantly last hit with it to gain a stack. That shield would only be used to prevent players from harassing him.

Nasus is a Late game champ, he is one of the Infinite scalers that is supposed to be weak early and become unstoppable if the game drags on too long. You're severly midigating that weak early phase. He would become unstoppable in lane then unstoppable while splitpushing or in teamfights.

Short version is your buff is bad. No. Calm down.

Except that isn't what you suggested, if you suggested that, I would have questioned the point of it.

Nasus should get a special shield when casting his Q that is worth a lot of hit points but goes away if he damages a champion with his Q or 2 seconds after successfully killing a minion with it.

THIS is a massive buff, this makes him utterly unmovable from lane unless you pick one of his hardest counters like Darius or Teemo, champions that have decent match ups who win from wittling him down now literally can't outtrade with him because then he goes to Q, gets it, then walks away with you having no means of actually countering it back. This would also make him the best trader in the game into certain match ups, if you are a melee caster, you now have to rip through a shield which you mentioned is obscene without giving ANY context on how big it is mind you, another reason this is a stupid buff idea because I can only assume you mean half of his life worth of shield making it once again, impossible to bully him out of lane, because if he does fight, he negates so much damage killing him won't be an option.

not half of his health. more like 20%. again taking things to the extreme. Nasus is unreliable. That is why he is like close to bottom tier.

You once again, didn't state that, and no, bottom tier is not sitting around 50% at all elos.

He might need a tiny buff, but a 20% shield, is not a tiny buff, that is a massive buff that will utterly break him.

SuperNova00791 votes

he needs better sustain. So maybe not a shield but maybe something like extra healing to help counter getting countered when stacking. Countering mechanics should not be a thing. It makes the game a big rock paper scissors game where there is no strategy behind it. If you throw rock, (Jax) and you throw scissors, (Nasus) you will always lose no matter what and the part where you play the game might as well not exist if you are going to lose no matter what you do, and that should not be. There should always be a way to fight back no matter what. Nasus always loses trades early game so he never gets stacks so you never win early team fights. So therefore, by simple logic, you lose the whole game before you get enough stacks to make any sort of impact on the game. Plain and simple.

But yes the shield would be a over kill now that I think about it. So maybe he should get percent of max health healing when killing a minion with Q in addition to his life steal?

You shouldn't be playing for the early with Nasus, that isn't Nasus, it wouldn't be fair if Nasus was good early AND late, you give up ALL early game power for late game dominance.

But yes the shield would be a over kill now that I think about it. So maybe he should get percent of max health healing when killing a minion with Q in addition to his life steal?

We run into the earlier problem of being unmovable from lane again, once you punish him and push him to tower, he would just full heal back and then you are down resources of life and mana to his nothing.

SuperNova00791 votes

Ok first off he can't go to tower and full heal. He would have to execute a lot of minions to get that health back. In that time you would have gotten punished more. You over exaggerate everything, and do not consider what really happens. Going back to what I said with the increase in one damage and you instantly freak out scenario. You are losing credibility by exaggerating everything I say in order to stop a simple much needed buff. It wouldn't make him invincible. I'm only talking like 5% max health heal when you kill minion with Q with the life steal on top. It won't be enough to make him to hard to deal with. Every champion is hard to deal with when you play as Nasus. It is time for a change and I am tired of people saying that any healing would make any champ invincible which is FAR from the truth. Educate your self please then talk. (Not saying you are uneducated in everything)

With your suggestion he can, especially against melee champions who can't afford to dive early.

I'm freaking out because your suggestions are horrible aren't even slightly reasonable, you are just throwing ideas at the wall hoping one will stick not willing to admit that perhaps it is user error not the champion itself?

You are losing credibility by exaggerating everything I say in order to stop a simple much needed buff.

None of your ideas have been simple buffs.

You don't seem to realize how much 5% is do you? Ok, let's put it into context.

Swain's passive also heals max life, however, his requires him having to land CC or an ally to land cc for him to get such an effect. It takes until lvl 11 to get 5.5% back for each soul he gets, and even then, there is a CD to how much he can get back so he can only trigger his passive every 9 seconds at that point.

You want a low CD, non skillshot reliant ability to have more sustain then a passive plus some, and I'm the one over exaggerating right?

Nasus Would be so ballistically insane to deal with in your suggestion.

SuperNova00791 votes

why? the problem with this game is that you automatically think a buff will make someone insanely broken. Then the buff comes and everything is okay.

PS: "ballistically insane" league of legends in a nutshell.

AlienPrimate3 votes

If you are in a tough matchup just start Doran's ring and max E. This will give you some breathing room early game to actually be able to farm. You will lose on potential stacks by not having that Q cooldown, but at least you won't get pushed out of lane and fall behind in gold.

It makes perfect sense to me.

The worst part is I believe you.

CppL3 votes

You have insane sustain so you can lifesteal all the poke, you have a whiter who can counter prety much any all in on you ,you have you E to farm if you get zoned.ffs dont be a brain dead monkey who just spams Q,Q,Q,Q...

SuperNova00791 votes

I struggled against jax. He just jumped on me even when he was slowed. i would die miserably when ever i went in to try and get a stack.

AnAggravatedPimp2 votes

He has build in lifesteal and can build full tank while dealing beyond respectable damage.

Lucian Waifu2 votes

Looking at your op.gg makes this post make more sense, doesn't make you any more right though. You have trouble farming with any champ, you get out of position farming instead of learning wave manipulation to farm effectively, on the 4 ranked games you have you average very low cs on all those champs and they are all ranged mages who are easy to farm with. You need to stop complaining about a champ you perceive as weak and look at the real problem, the user. 99% of the stuff people complain about on the boards can be changed if they learn to play better instead of complaining about something in League because the reality is that the problem isn't a problem, the person complaining is the problem.

SuperNova00791 votes

Still doesn't make every thing I say instantly invalid. You just are using those same excuses to stop buffs because you are afraid of them. The reason I cannot farm is because mages suck and assassins are going mid. I cannot farm with nasus because I cannot get close to minions without getting jumped on. So I never have a chance to scale into late game. Plain and simple I cannot believe you people are struggling so much to see this. No offense.

Lucian Waifu1 votes

Actually it does. You are playing the champion completely wrong and then claiming the champ is bad and needs major buffs so you can do better with an already decent champ. On top of this you don't seem to understand how badly you are playing all your champs incorrectly, which is why you have terrible KDAs and cs per minute. Nothing you are saying should be listened to because you don't understand the game well enough to correctly balance a champion.

SuperNova00791 votes

Yes I do. I have been playing for 6 years. You just use the same excuses saying "you are just bad with him." the reason my cs is bad is because the champ is bad. Not me. Like what delusional world do you live in. Also My kda sucks because of the champions strength because this game is who ever is the most powerful wins and there is no way to fight back if the enemy is stronger than you. Please educate your self and at least logically make your argument. You should at least do that if you are going to be mean.

Lucian Waifu2 votes

Congratulations that you have played for 6 years, I don't care if you have played for 60, your games show a lack of grasping the concepts of champions and how to work around their strengths and weaknesses.
