Look, I'm not the best player myself. I'm ok. My true elo is somewhere s2-s1 I'd say, maybe g4 optimistically. I'm s1 on my main EUW account, Synchrone But here I am on a different account, trying to rank it up as well, so I have another acc to play on after i dodge. I've been stuck in s4 for probably 1 week now, losing games where I'm 30/11/11 even, simply because i got a team that didn't know to focus the enemy carry, while their team knew to focus me in fights. So many times I get afk's, flamers, feeders. It's extremely hard to carry when so many games my top/bot/jg go 0/4/0 or 1/6/3 or whatever, and that's not even the worst part. Those games are winnable, if they just let themselves get carried. But instead, they get demoralized and ff at 20 or continue feeding and doing even worse. I think there's no debate I'm not s4, and I will eventually climb, since, like I said, I got my other account all the way up to s1 promos to gold. The problem is because of this matchmaking, it takes forever to do so, and I have a job and a life too.

I get Iron players in my matches, how is that possible? An entire bracket (bronze) skipped. I wouldn't mind waiting another extra 1-2 minutes in queue, to get a proper match. But how can you match Iron with Silver? That's really really bad, it's absurd. It's not surprising this is such rng, it's a contest of who gets the worst players on their team.

And before anyone says "Well then how can people climb, how come there are plat diamond master etc" climbing. Look, I already said I CAN eventually climb, it just takes a long time. The further you are from challenger, the longer it takes. My point is it shouldn't take this long, it doesn't have to, if matchmaking is improved to not include Iron in silver matches. The experience is just very poor.

And another thing, yeah, I noticed the games I've been placed in have the average rank of Bronze 2-3. The point is it's still Iron matched with silver. The skill difference is just too large. I realize this might indicate the MMR behind the scenes is similar for the players, but then again that's also a problem. It means those people's MMR is too desynced from their actual rank. Means their MMR isn't adding/substracting LP upon win/loss enough to keep their rank reflective of their skill. Either way, something feels incredibly off with the matchmaking. Feels like it's worse than previous season.

Oh, and another interesting thing, it's actually easier to climb through s3-s2 than it is to climb out of s4. Beacuse in s3-s2 people are a bit better about games, fewer trolls, less rng. Just my personal experience, as I remember it from when I climbed my s1 acc.

Your true elo is where you are, not where you "think" you should be.

If you're at an elo and you cannot escape it, that is your peak.

Their matchmaking is awful, and has been awful for so long that the only answer to why they haven't fixed it, not even slightly, is that this shi shame is intentional. Which is far worse.

It's even worse when you get fresh lvl 30's in your game while youre g4 xD I had 3 games in a row where I played with legit new players. Ofc they were dead weight. Ofc I lost all 3 of them.

Riot doesn’t care, nice post thought. I have seen about 100 of them.
