Gold players placed in Bronze ???
I noticed that after placements many of my Gold+ friends were placed in Bronze Division. Is there any sort of bug. The players in question have won at least 5-games during promos.

Nope, just a stupid design.
Gold players being placed in bronze means they were carried to G5 and sat at G5 0 MMR forever or they would have at least landed in mid silver, they deserve bronze. This is why division 1 is better than division 5 above it. I'd take an S1 player over a G5 10/10 times. I'd say well over half of G5s were carried and left there for the rewards.
There is no flaw, people dont take the time to understand there was a whole new tier added last season meaning that placements pushes everyone down. low plats ==gold, gold == silver, etc.. They said you will be placed lower than your division last season and that's if you win 10/10. There is nothing wrong with the system, people just have not taken in account master tier.
Word here on the forums is if they were playing ranked games during the off-season, their games contributed to their ranking for the next season.
