BAN IMMUNITY

With the 5 bans for each team coming, I think each team should vote on a champion to be protected from being banned. The vote will be 30 seconds long so teams can talk it out with each other, it's also after the champion declare.

It won't be like one for all were if its 2 people who vote on the same champion and everyone else is different is randomizes it, but instead its majority wins. So, for example if 2 players choose urgot and the rest is different then the champion that cannot be banned is Urgot. If everyone chooses a different champion or if its 2 votes on one champion and 2 votes on another then it is randomized.

If there is 10 bans all together then that would mean some champions would never be playable ( Yasuo { cough my summoner name cough }, Vayne, Zed, Syndra, etc )

If 5 bans comes I'm screwed as a Yasuo main. I can't even play him in the current ban system, so imagine when each team gets 5 bans.

What da haters will say: OMG GOOD, I HATE YASUO AND VAYNE YOU DIRTY APE WE NEED 20 BANS *My response: Yasuo is the champion I preform the best with and if I can't even play the champion I am best with that is very odd. If you have a champion you always play and it's the champion that your climbing with, how would you feel if you could that play that champion again?

Or you could diversify your champion pool so that people aren't limited in their picks/bans.

The entire point of ten bans, and the entire reason that we want it so urgently, is because a large number of people never want to see champions like Yasuo ever again.

Being able to force him through some "ban immunity" feature would defeat the entire purpose of adding more bans.

Look, imagine a game where it was possible / not punished to use a cheat which caused your opponents to lag terribly. They might still be able to win, especially if they picked champions who didn't need fast reaction times, but either way they wouldn't be having much fun that game. Wouldn't the person using that exploit be a despicable person? Taking away the other players' ability to have fun just so that he can win? Forcing them to use specific tactics to be able to overcome the huge disadvantage that they are at?

Playing Yasuo is exactly the same thing. You are forcing the entire enemy team to not get to have fun just because you selfishly want to play that champion.

Totally defeats the point of bans. lol

Yeah well i've already given up on Rengar because he's almost perm banned and when hes not banned i skip my opportunity due to a lack of practice anyways. That and the rework kinda sucks compared to the old rengar.

Name checks out.

I'll take an upvote. Tired of Darius and Ekko being banned when I feel like playing them.

Just keep in mind that "Playing the strong meta champion" Does not equal "Skill". If you're only doing good with the champion that's clearly been picked as one of the strongest and most hated picks in recent times then you clearly need to improve on some things.

Forcing a system like this is more annoying given that you can already communicate what you've said to your team and even so a system like you say is unlikely to change anything about the top tier champs. Say the champ is a wildly op pick and the guy that wants it is last pick. This goes through the pick can't be banned and the other team gets it.

Bad idea with good intentions I feel. Communication is still the best method.

I mean, if we won't see yasuo ever again, maybe Riot will do something about him? It worked with kassadin. It will work with yasuo too.

This system would defeat the whole purpose of 10 bans. Furthermore it could create such situations when a champ is CLEARLY op (Maybe even more than 1) and then you can protect him from bans all the time, and thus have him on your team, which is not good.

With this though, you would just create a system where people would see the ban immunity, giving away the idea that you are just going to play yasou and they would pick things to counter him...

I would rather see something more along the lines of 3 bans by each team, one pick by each team, followed by another ban for each team, and then the last ban for each team. Then picks would follow as usual.

I think this is better overall as 10 bans, especially in competitive could mean someone having their entire champ pool banned out.

I would feel a little sad, I would make rant posts on boards then i would choose another champion. That was what I did when Shen got reworked.

this is a bad, bad idea.

What if release Kassadin happens again? What do we do, hope Riot disables him?

Meserion12/27/2016, 12:27:47 AM1 votes

I made a proposal long ago about Yasuo, make his W instead deflect spells off it instead of making them go poof

Completely defeats the purpose of bans. If bans can't reliably keep a champ out of the picks, then we shouldn't have them at all.

Also, I do not believe that some champs won't be playable. The only champs that reach anything close to 100% ban rate are champs that are totally broken.
