Can someone explain Promo Helper better?
Tried to read the patch notes about it multiple times but I didn't seem to completely understand it.
Someone please just a quick example would be nice since I'm below Gold I!

If you are Gold 2 or lower, so Gold 2 - Bronze 5:
If you are up for a promotion to a tier you haven't been to before (so for the first time), it works normally.
If you fail your promos, and manage to get back to those same promos, you are automatically granted 1 win (so going from tiers you would already be 1-0, and only have to win 1 or your next 2 games to get promoted. Going to divisions you would already be 1-0 and have to win 2 of your next 4 games to advance).
As far as getting demoted goes, I'm unsure that was unclear to me as well, so if someone could explain this that would be great.
From what I can tell, if you get demoted, everytime you get back to promos you'll be granted 1 win until you reach your season high rank, at which time it goes back to normal.
You try your promos (Silver 5 -> Silver 4). You lose them. Currently when you get back to those promos you have to win 2/3 games to get to Silver 4. With Promo Helper, it realizes you've tried that promo before and gives you a free win towards your promos, so you only have to win 1/3 games.
If you were going from Bronze 1 -> Silver 5, then you can have Promo Helper stack up twice, so you first have to win 3/5 games, but the next time it's 2/5 games, then the last time 1/5 games.
If you're demoted in between trying a promo series (you try for Silver 4, don't make it, end up falling back to Bronze 1), then you lose the Promo Helper bonus for getting into Silver 4. That said, you only have to win 1/5 games to get back to Silver 5 since you had climbed there previously.
I am so excited for this. This whole season I keep getting to gold V promos, only to fail. Same with S2 to S1 promos. After losing promos, I'll go on a winning streak, only to lose promos again, often to someone leaving or two people fighting over a role. I probably lost 10+ promos this season. This should help me get to gold again finally.
