Blitzcrank is so damn frustrating to play against
He can make many mistakes but you make ONE and it can be game changing

Agreed, gut Nidalee.
imo it's worse than nidalee in a sense. while nids is on a lower cd, costs less mana, and does tons of damage, it moves slow and if you get low you can just back out. with blitz, it's a fast projectile that pulls you into his team, effectively destroying you unless you have a godly escape (
)
If Blitz misses his hook he's basically just a moving target at that point. He's useless.
And if he hits he just won his lane. Or a dragon. Or game.
It doesn't matter if a walking Tank is a target, he has his W.
I approve of your post sir/madam.
His W doesn't do anything worth while anymore, this has been proven. The slow basically cuts whatever distance you gained in half. It's a hardly noticeable speed increase. The only thing that sucks about blitz is his Ult really. It silences and bursts hard. Remove that and a pull isn't so bad, you might survive it.
He still has a speedup escape, he has a knockup and an AoE silence. And he's really tanky, especially with the passive.
Unless your OOM when your passive activates.
Honestly, if you're OOM as Blitzcrank, you're doing something wrong.
Can't remember what version it was of, but someone did a side by side video of Blitz using said "speedup escape" and him walking. Walking got to the end of the screen faster due to the slow down afterwards.
They buffed it back up after that patch. Wouldn't want such a bullshit champion actually having an exploitable weakness, now would we?
I remember before the nerf that if a Blitz missed the hook, they would just speed up and then power punch you.
That was bullshit. Granted if you had cc, it wasn't a problem, but think of all the Sona mains...
The W should be a quick repositioning tool to land the hook, not an easy escape from ganks or a cheese gap closer.
Indeed. Blitz was unpunishable back them. However, since they buffed Talisman and now that they're buffing Righteous Glory, I'm not entirely convinced Blitz will have much of an exploitable weakness. Especially if he puts two points into the Swiftness Mastery and buys the Boots of Swiftness...
I really, really, really wish his ultimate didn't have a 30 second cooldown with a 100% AP scaling.
I mean, yeah, I get he's supposed to be lethal if he lands his grab, but he already has the knockup. It's just a bit much, it should have a normal ultimate cooldown (as much as it pains me to say, I'd be willing for him to be buffed if it meant a normal cooldown that didn't have 18 seconds in between casts late-game).
He's not OP in my opinion, but he's so damn annoying. I hate playing against him since his very presence zones you out if you don't have hard cc (poor Sona mains). He's just seems toxic to me, enough that I vowed to never play him, not even as a jungler.
I hear you bro. I can't trust anybody on my team with a Blitzcrank in bottom lane. Murphy's Law kicks in and my team just can't not get pulled! Goddamn does it feel good to win the match vs. a Blitzcrank, though. It feels so good.
He's a bit of a selfish champion pick with toxic qualities. While he can definitely make picks for his team and he puts a lot of pressure on the enemy team, he doesn't offer the same kind of protection or utility that someone like Thresh or Alistar does. In addition, he possess the unique quality of being able to screw his team over so hard by pulling the wrong champion and if the enemy team plays smart, they should be able to circumvent his whole strategy altogether which turns him into a liability.
I agree, for a robot, his gameplay is very binary.
Bad joke aside, I seriously think that blitzcrank should be looked at, his kit is a mess. He has two AP ratios, a 1:1 AD ratio on his E, a movementspeed/attack speed buff, and a current mana ratio. None of these really synergize with the total kit. And none of that matters, you could build him with anything, as long as you hit sometimes with your Q, you're golden.
Blitz was my first champion ever played, my first champion ever bought too, and with him I made my first steps as a support in a MOBA game. I still like him, but he is a one trick pony, and is really too tanky for a grabber.
I don't know how that would work, but I'd like to see Blitzcrank use the heat resource instead of the mana gating. Not only because that would fit his theme, but also because early game, his mana bar is the only thing preventing him to be dangerous, and he has no mana issue lategame. We could balance that with a heat system that would prevent him to attempt to grab (or not as far, I dunno) if he doesn't have a full heat bar.
Naut and Thresh have to put themselves in a dangerous position in order to get the most out of their kit. Blitz can set up a kill from complete safety. There are better supports but he's still very frustrating, a lane bully that only needs to be present.
Both of those have other things they can use from safety, though, unlike Blitz. But that's because Blitz is just a hook with a champion attached, instead of the other way around. Terrible design.
You can realistically only expect to dodge it at it's max range. Otherwise, you're not getting out of the way without a blink/genuinely good dash
You can also walk left n right to juke his ass out.
Did you not see what I just said?
You don't even need a dash though. You can be the slowest walking champ with no move steroid and juke him out if you're good at mind games.
Not really. He doesn't need to predict or guess where you're going to be. Unless you're at max range, if he clicks ON you, he will hit you no matter how you move.
Against any decent player (let alone a decent Blitz), you're not dodging that wide-ass skillshot with "mind games".
Nautilus and Thresh are way better than blitz atm...
Nautilus and Thresh are way better than blitz atm...
Thresh loses most of his games to Blitz while Naut is basically even against him. They are also required to actually jump into their opponents where as Blitz forces his opponents to his ally, Blitz is much safer than the other two for that. Naut is only really better because he's easier to play of the three while Thresh is the hardest.
Thresh has a 40% playrate, that is the only reason why his most BC win their games against him (BC playrate is 1/4 of that!). Also saying that Blitz is safer than Thresh is ridiculous, seeing how Thresh is better for Laning, Peeling, disengage and basically EVERYTHING except for making picks. Blitzcrank is all about making picks, yes he is good at that. He is the best actually. However when it comes to 'safety' Blitzcrank is not the support you want to pick.
At least it's a skill shot, that grab used to be a point and click.
That's kind of ridiculous. It must've been before season 3, because I started in season 3 and it was a skillshot.
It was during beta, but the range was shorter too.
pulls
into the middle of the team
: hey i was going to initiate anyways
: Thanks blitz :D
: oh fuc..
uh
Lee sin, thresh, nautilus, as well as many other champions can do the same tihng
Sort of, Thresh is only a short pull, nautilus is a gapcloser/pull, Blitz is just a full on melee range pull. Lee also isn't a support.

SHHHH, don't let those "break the meta!" people see this they will freak out.
shakes fist
Something something meta Lee Song AP meta blah blah blah.
rework his q and change other parts of his kit.
lanes where you're zoned simply because they EXIST is very anti-fun
Mistakes can either be minor and forgotten or can cost you the game.
Them's the breaks.
If you are scared of blitz you hide behind your minions and he cant pull
if you want to fight him you make him use pool and get ready to dodge eapecialy early game its rather a long cooldown
if hes hugging turret you leave him alone cause 1pull can be gg
Blitz is a great example of high risk/high reward. I play Blitz a lot and you can win games with a great pull and you can lose games with a bad one (pull Alistar or Leonna into your team and you are screwed).
As long as they're still alive after the knockup+silence plus focus fire from your team.
They are tank. If they die, your whole team is, most likely, on cooldown and will lose the fight. Because, y'know. That's the tank job. Well, one of them. So, yes, blitz grab made you lose the fight by doing a bad engage.
have u ever pulled an ulting
I actually did it intentionally once to pull him away from my team since I was on the flank. It saved 3 guys and I managed to run away in time.
respect
so remove blitz and thresh from the game
Thresh's hook is so much less painful.
Mostly because it's not chained into a knockup and a silence, and doesn't instantly put you in the middle of the enemy team.

Thresh's hook is less painful because of the windup. Thresh spins then hooks. Blitz just fires instantly.

You can dodge ___________________________ a thousand times, but once they hit _______________________________, the tides will turn very quickly. Or with Kayle, she can die a thousand times, but one good ultimate can change a game.
stand behind minions... i know... this is a scary and advanced concept... but wow =p then you can't be hooked, amazing
