Maintenence

Some times I play this game prior to getting ready for work. However, there has been a lot of times where I will be playing a game and disconnected due to maintenance. So, I made it a habit to look at the system notifications to see if there is maintenance and there is no notification of it. Then I start a game and boom disconnect due to maintenance . Can riot actually give notifications of this before it happens because if i know there is expected maintenence then I won't start a game?
