Seems like every time someone dodges and I go back to lobby and hit Accept right away I get auto filled to Support right away. I have to decline and go back into queue to avoid this. So I end up spending another 3 mins in queue.

Bullshit. I got out of Bronze being a 1 trick last season. By far the best way to climb. Many semi-famous high elo streamers and YouTubers would tell you this as well. And a lot of high elo players are hardcore 1 tricks.
