OK so i hear that Akali is set to get nerfs and changes again to "Balance" her but WHY? there are soooo many champs that are universally hated in low elo, like Yi, Mundo, Jax, etc and riot does NOTHING honest to god yi needs a HUGE nerf on the Cool down of his q, but yet champs that take genuine skill to play keep getting nerfed into the ground. I dont get it why riot WHY?

Moreover why always nerfs... why cant we just buff weaker champs... i know balancing is hard but why do some champs go trough a bunch of nerfs until they are unplayable but ones people have hated season after season are untouched it makes no sense. And those people wish were better just get to flounder about until they are graced with a VGU and then nerfed again..... i just want a fun balanced game where I dont have to turn into a tilted jerk every time yi gets ahead and our team cant do anything but ff.

Whilst I can't give a good answer for why Akali is nerfed and Yi isn't, I can assure you that a great Akali player is better than a great Yi player, as 'needing genuine skill' just means having a high skill ceiling. There are reason why pros don't play Yi and Mundo and Jax: They have weaknesses that can be easily abused, and don't have good teamfighting due to lack of CC, nor is there anything that the pro can do 'better'. You're not supposed to beat champions that take less skill mechanically (and I stress the word mechanically, as teemo is simple to control but hard to play in terms of macro) just because you picked aurelion sol and kind of know how he works. I'm positive that any good Qiyana, Nidalee or Kalista can beat Yi/Annie/Jax, and do remember that enemies aren't supposed to normally have 10 or more kills.

As for why we don't just buff all the weak champions, it's because of power creep, which I recommend you to google it instead of having me explain it, as I'm not an expert and it's also kind of long, but in a nutshell, it is a balance nightmare caused by numbers going out of control, kind of like hyperinflation.

Akali has to be weak because of how new invisibility works If she's usable in higher tiers, she's a direct counter to any champion who has damage based off of auto attacks Stealth classes now are supposed to counter some mid and top, but almost exclusively regular marksmen (not the special snowflake ones like Ez or Kaisa) You could argue that True Sight still exists, but unless you're an AP enchanter or a mage, you don't have a good way to actually pull them out of stealth. Not to mention that those 2 classes are ALSO the targets of stealth assassins It's almost as if stealth shouldn't be a mechanic if this is how they make characters/balance their game, but the Korean and Chinese markets love stealth in their high level play
