Hey, Riot, when Runes Reforged hits can we look into the new player experience?

Because, as said before, it's currently really bad. Runes Reforged is a step in the right direction, at least, taking out two systems that new players usually forget about (Runes are never talked in detail, and most don't even buy T2 runes from what I've seen on smurfs).

I know you don't like openly embracing the 'meta', but you could at least talk about the standard roles that show up. Especially at lower levels right now, it's kind of a gamble whether or not games have a support or a jungle- and part of that has to do with the level restrictions of jungle, as well as the fact Support in blind pick isn't very common anyway. But you also see people just go to random lanes because 'why not', and occasionally end up with games that have potentially 3 champions in a lane, two in another, etc. I know Summs will still be restricted, but maybe use some space in the client for new players for 'hey, this lane typically is typically filled with x roles' with a link to learn more, and stuff like armor vs. MR and what kind of champs have said damage types. Right now, if I'm a new player, the only way I learn about a lot of this stuff is finding a smurf that knows this and is willing to teach me- and how many smurfs do you think that is? Not to mention the fact that, if they encountered said smurf in a game, that game probably wasn't a good experience for the person on the other team.

In terms of learning what champions do, seriously, allowing all champs in practice tool, or at least give the option to pick all champions in practice tool, if you don't want to overwhelm new players, would go a long way I think. Something like adding a new player tab on the client could go a long way too- seriously, the first thing I see if I create an account, as a new player, is your star guardian event, and I know you want that to be the focus, but brand new players don't give a shit and it kinda only causes confusion. Adding the champion profiles (these things) on a rotation, items descriptions, and runes could go a decent way, and none of these things are strictly telling the player what to do.

I know that there's been a few things added with the loading screen tips, and everything you've done recently should help out the new player experience, but I just wanna know if you're gonna look into more in-depth guides about items, runes, champions, and etc., just because, let's be frank, this big update will probably drive a lot of people to the game, and trust me, a lot of them will quit because of how bad the current new player experience is.

Sounds like pushing new players towards meta. No thanks. It's part of the learning experience.

the new rune system is a huge failure for the new player experience, not being able to select your rune pages until level 20 just makes it so you cant really learn any characters properly or experiment, its a huge F you to new players whereas games like fortnite are trying to welcome new players, thoughts?
