Zilean's viability as support

So I play a lot of Zilean, and boy do i love the champ but its coming to the point where he isn't even close to viable anymore. Every champs getting nerfs and buff and all that but where is zileans love?

I have a skill shot that has a small window to land. I goes on minions 50% of the time when there is a choice between them and champs, and i need to land 2 of them. So why do i ask does it have to be the slowest skill shot out of any other one in the game...

Sure you can argue that my slow should make it more easy to land but with the new every champ has a slide meta slows are useless for control. My early game is abysmal as well compared to any other support. Low damage, no sustain, low range, no escape, and the squishiest thing in the game, all on top of having to use 3 moves to create an opening which completely drains my mana pool.

And okay I get around all that and then what? I make one mistake, just one, and the whole community jumps straight down my throat for picking zilean. Even with all the champion flaws the biggest is the negative stigma that he has as a champion. I cant play a game without someone asking "WHY ZIL" "REPORT ZILEAN USELSS CHAMP" "OMFG TRASH CHAMP" for not wracking up the early kills. Sure i'm not the best zilean but i try not to die early game, but its hard when your constantly verbally abused for playing something you enjoy. ... Mid game supports like zilean are just verbally shat on over and over and over again but hey, lets focus on balancing the JUGGERNAUTS. Not one patch helps me out. NOT ONE.

All I ask really is make my bombs a slightly faster projectile. Just slightly, so I can stand more of a chance in this season as a support.
