Probably wouldn't be good since his E has 60% AP scaling and his ult has 30% AP scaling. The majority of his damage is from auto attacks and his bite. There's definitely worse things to try but full tank or tank with attack speed is the way to go.

Im trying it in a bot game, doesnt work, like you said, AD with a bit of tank items voli is better.
