Some changes that would be useful
Hello. I would like to suggest a very simple and very useful tool that would make a huge impact on the quality of the game play.
In most of the games there are players having lag or low FPS issues. And when the game starts it is really difficult to deal with these problems because the player needs to restart the game or even a computer/internet modem to solve the problems, and even after that there is no guaranty that everything will be ok or that he will be redirected to the game he was in, because restarting modem needs some time...
Now the biggest issue is that before entering the game we can not see our FPS and PING ratings. only in game login screen and after the game starts we can see our FPS and ping.
So my point is, could you integrate this information in to the client so players could see their PING before starting the match? With this info it would be so much easier to actually fix the problem before joining the game and ruining it for other players.
There is another problem regarding team formation in normal mode games. You guys have done a lot of job creating lvl system, honor system, each champion lvl system, but when it comes to the team formation it still doesnt work at all. Most of the times the difference between player experience differ quite a lot. In normal games most of the time or at least 50/50 chance that there will be 5 good players vs 5 new players. And the match end pretty quick for one or another team. Because of that some team gets S or S+ ratings very easy and gain 0 real experience, while other team suffers great loss.. The problem here is that it doesnt matter what lvl champion you are playing with, how skilled you are, you still play among those who are new, unskilled or with fake experience points. So why cant you form a system that could filter players regarding their levels, experience or other criteria which would help to form more competitive game play?
I know there is ranked system. But even in those I saw similar problems, unless you create your own team with people you know. But there are segment of players who actually dont have that much time to spend on the game, they want a fast clean competitive game, most of them actually choose ARAM game mode because of its speed and simple game play, hence there is no need of a complicated strategy and even new players can compete.
Now the third issue in my opinion is ARAM system. The biggest flaw of the system - unbalanced teams. I wonder if there is some sort of algorithm that picks the champions in some sort of way, so the teams would be equal, because at how things look now, there is no such a thing. Very often there is a chance that one team will get very strong champions and the other very squishy very weak champions. Random champion selection mode is probably involved in this issue, not to mention the champion change ability. Would it be possible to make more balanced version of this game type? Or maybe there would be a chance of the same game type and ability to choose the champion a player wants instead of random champions?
