Disgusting League after placements

So here i am after my placements was plat 1, ended with 4W 6L got dumped in gold 5... Is this some kind of joke riot, or is this another bug where ppl are placed ridiculously stupidly ? i see ppl complain winning and losing half placement games and get like 2-3 divisions below their s6 rank but HELLO, 9 divisions below after such placements ???? op.gg says that my mmr is 2000, and that u most likely be placed in plat 1... all i have now is gold 5 in with i get 20lp . No, srsly, is this a joke ?

You have to earn your placement each season. I'm not sure if you're new but I end between Diamond and Plat each season and get placed in Gold every time. Your MMR is averaged with 1200.

Each season is a soft reset and makes you grind up again. it helps weed out people who don't belong there.

there was even 2 popups that say that especially the highest Ranked players will start lower even if you win all of your placements. reading isn't that hard, is it?

Plat 1 is the highest where you can get Ranked at the start of the season, and this is where Challengers/High Diamonds go.

Riot did say you will be placed, more than likely, lower than you current tier.

u lost 6 games im not surpeised. i won 7 out of 10 anf went from silver 4 to bronze 4 so it screwed me worse then u

Your mmr is 2000. Go play a game. You will gain like 45LP.

so what is the point of 2 years of hard work if i can just create new account, level it up to 30, win 10/10 placement games and get gold 5 in the matter of 2-3 days

i understand that everyone starts lower than they ended, but i simply didn't find a person who would be demoted almost 2 leagues below... i even got gold 1 in flex after ending 2-8 so i never played flex before but i get higher rank there after 2 wins and 8 loses than i get in soloq where i played entire 2 years and got 4 wins and 6 loses in placements... yep seems legit...

I went 4-6 and got placed Plat 2 as D5 season 6.
