I really don't understand it, why is the most horrible experience that a person can have in the game getting buffs? She also is frustrating to play against and now her jungle is getting buffed? I would rather trade places with Wilson and get tortured by Lee than play a another game versus Nidalee.
In all seriousness though. Why is Riot encouraging jungle Nidalee? Thematical reasons? Are there any compensation nerfs planned?

...Why would she get compensation nerfs for being able to use half her kit effectively verse jungle monsters? This isn't a "Nidalee's Q now has an extra .4 AP scaling" buff, it's just a "Nidalee can now use cat form abilities on large jungle monsters without sucking".
propbably becuase nid makes them a ton of money.
I don't see Nidalee to be that annoying as a top laner in my experience, ever since the base AD nerfs on her. And I really don't mind if Rito should try out Nidalee as a jungler. She got no CC anyway, so let's see how effective it is when 5.2 comes in.
I'm under the Impression that Riot is not going to leave her in the dumps. They nerfed her Bruiser form, Her Assassin form is subpar. (at least in lane I think) she's useless in a team fight. The thing about these changes is they where explored when she was first reworked. They got scrapped, yet not completely forgotten. So their trying to give her a new niche.

Malzahar, Jayce (alright, I actually don't know a lot about how well Jayce consistently does in lane. But I do know he's a safe laner and he scales into a late-game hypercarry), Heimerdinger, Teemo, LeBlanc, Yorick, Caitlyn (that is, smart Caits. They tend to be rare.), and Pantheon are laughing at you from their ROFL AUTO-WIN LANE AND NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO US corner.
Sad how people still scream about a champion that's been through numerous balancing phases and nerfs, when the champion in question is far outclassed by others no one ever talks about. Ones who are far more oppressive than any Nidalee player can be.
People have been playing her in the jungle already anyway. The only reason it isn't common is that there's probably more of a harder learning curve compared to pure junglers. And the sheep don't do "hard".

This change happened two patches ago. She is not getting buffs. She has already had her hunt neutral monsters yes or no change implemented. Your topic sentence sounds like Nidalee is going to receive future buffs.
Nidalee can play in the Jungle now. She has had no numerical values changed. She is nearly the exact same as before. The thing is with the Rek Sai nerfs you are seeing lots of talented players who used to main Rek Sai switching to Nidalee and showing the rest of us how fun she can be to play.
I started playing Nidalee before the hunt neutral monsters patch and she was always fun though very difficult to control between fast switching and utilyzing the two forms.
