New ARAM changes

I love the area heal.

Hate the new items though... really ruins what aram is, don't think I'll keep playing aram if they keep them in.

The boots are a problem IMO, the other two are weird but no weirder than snowball as a summoner skill.

The problem with boots is it allows completely uninteractive flanking, and it's also hard to see if someone's actually traveling through walls in the first place. They can also emerge from the wall while dropping a skill on you, giving you no reaction time.

Just treat it like Kayn, please. You can still hit him through walls, and you can clearly see the wall he's nearest to because there's an indicator.

I know it's possible to deal with it, but ARAM shouldn't be so flashy. One lane, 5v5 vanilla gameplay is really all ARAM needs to be. Them adding a larger champ pool and allowing for easier trades was really all that was needed.

Even the snowballs that allow you to teleport in aren't my fav thing.

It's true, the new items make it flashier and more reflex-testy, which I don't like. But the boots are on a whole other level, since you can use them while in-combat. That is a problem, because it means if you're near a wall and are low on HP, you get a free uninteractive save.

Snowballs I think are helpful since otherwise the melee half of the roster is garbage.

So glad someone else noticed how broken it is that you can activate item 4001 IN COMBAT to just run away into a wall to prevent taking more damage (other than damage over time that's already inflicted).

I think the AD item is great. It was pretty hard to play champs like Kha and Talon, and near impossible when your team didn’t have frontline champs.

Spooky boots seem too strong but I think they could be balanced. The invis doesn’t seem necessary and punishes those who don’t watch for the stealthy ghost effect. They could adjust the price, duration, or remove the invulnerable effect.

I haven’t seen enough of the AP item to decide.

The Butcher's Bridge event is basically being used as an experiment to see how players react to the new changes and items. Afterwards they'll decide what changes to keep and what to revert based off of how well the new things stick to players.

The reroll bench has so many players happy that they will most likely keep that feature.

The area heal I also think is a pretty good feature I hope they keep, though not for the reason they stated when releasing these new features. No team fights are gonna lash out over the heals, if they do it's very uncommon. Players react to the health runes the same as they were before, the health is just better now since players don't have to worry as much about teammates stealing the health when they didn't need it as much.

The expanded free champ pool seems to still be buggy since, personally, I've been seeing a lot of the same champs consistently, even though there's 42 champs to randomly pick from outside of personal rosters. So I think they should either just make all champs available or go back to the single free champ pool.

The new items are iffy: item 4004 seems to work well and it's not too op since if you use it wrong you'll get punished (like using Zed ult towards the end of timer you won't get teleported back), so they might keep that. item 4001 are too broken imo, to be able to use them IN COMBAT to walk into a wall and avoid more damage is just crappy design, so they'll hopefully remove this one unless they tweak it to be better balanced. item 4010 doesn't seem to be built that often since it's basically item 3165 but with item 3102 as an on-hit effect instead of grievous wounds, so it's a lot more situational and isn't really a must pick; it could stay or go, either way I don't think it would make much of an impact.
