What would be the harm in providing a small IP incentive for ranked roles that are in need?

Instead of Autofill, maybe there could just be 1.5x-2.0x multiplier on IP. This multiplier, ideally, would only be in effect when it's needed - similar to what Riot had in place when Team Builder was introduced.

I'm certain I'm not alone in mentioning that I have had several people troll because they received an autofill position (99% of the time it's support).

I am also certain that it's very difficult to not begin a game tilted/feeling trollish when I'm forced to support. Although that's on me, and I don't do that, the bad taste autofill provides is discouraging. It makes the game less fun because I feel like I'm doing a chore rather than playing my champions I prefer for solo queue..

I would take my solo Q picks support, but I don't think Garen/Pantheon support would have a positive effect on my teammates' attitude.

Great idea, i wonder though if people would Que up for support just because they get more IP, i know i wouldnt.

It doesn't actually make people enjoy the role or the game while playing that role, the players that opt in to the higher payout may feel like they're playing Ranked as a chore to get IP rather than a game for fun. Those players also wouldn't necessarily be good at the role or even really try to win beyond making sure they can't be reported for Int'ing, so the quality of games doesn't actually improve.
