Team Comps and Match-ups where you can build damage on Sion?

Sion has become one of my favorite champions as of late for how much damage he can deal while still building full tank. I always build the typical full-tank items: But I've been wondering when it would be okay to slip in an item or two like these in there:

I know Titanic Hyrda and Iceborn Gauntlet are already fairly popular picks for Sion , but I'm never sure when to build them. I figure it might be okay if my team already has tanky champs like Amumu or leona and I'm not fighting someone like Fiora or Graves .

The two items you listed are good in combo with some others, and they're usually ALWAYS good pick ups. I've played vs. a Sion (I was Graves) and his build was item 3748 item 3053 item 3009 item 3143 item 3065 item 3083

I was hoping to get some more responses, so I'm going to bump the post. I'd also like to ask that if one were to do an AP Sion Sion (for that epic W and E damage) what would one build? (not a serious build, of course. Just for shits and giggles)

IBG is an item that I'll build practically every game at some point. My full build usually looks like this item 3068 because it's broken item 3025 Because I just simply love it. 20% CDR item 3111 / item 3047 / item 3009 Depending on situation item 3065 / item 3190 10% CDR, I take 10% cdr in runes. I'll have 40% in total c: item 3102 / item 3742 / item 3026 / item 3143 / item 3053 / item 3083 / item 3512 / item 3075 S I T U A T I O N A L / / / / / / / S I T U A T I O N A L

I don't build item 3748 because I tend to kite back for my cooldowns instead of AA-ing. Sion has a low AS and his Q takes a lot of time to charge, I feel like I won't get a lot of value out of TT.... summoner 31

I tend to get frozen mallet when I find myself using his passive a lot. Maw when I'm fighting a lot of AP and I want more MR on top of the MR I already have. Steraks against heavy burst comps.
