Should skins have an IP price, as well as an RP one like champions?

I have been playing League for a fairly long time now, and while I love the game, there is one thing that has bothered me: skins. I love them, as most others who play this do, but I find them a bit... lacking in how they're distributed. The only real ways to get them is either being exceptionally lucky and skilled at the game, or buy them on the shop for RP. I think that there needs to be a way to buy them for IP as well, to reward those who have one champion they love, but aren't especially skilled or can afford RP.

First and foremost, I understand that skins cost RP for a reason. I am not asking for that to be changed. League has to make money somehow, and so RP makes sense as a currency. What I don't like is that for a huge part of the game, it's the only method of obtaining something that should be free. "You like that skin? Great it's yours! All you have to do is completely obliterate your opponent repeatedly and pray you get the shard you want. That or, buy it, but it's gonna cost you a pretty penny. "

Secondly, IP is something that should feel like a true reward for good play, but they come out with skins far more often than they do champions, not to mention the fact that the only other things IP is used for are runes, which are fine and all unless you play the game casually like I do and never purchase them.

Finally, I know there are going to be arguments that this RP overhaul will disrupt the game's economy. If you can get the skins and stuff for free, why should they pay real money for it? Well, if that were the case, why is it that everything that isn't aesthetic costs IP? Stuff affects your actual gameplay is free, so why shouldn't the stuff that doesn't be as well?

The way Skins would be priced is fairly simple, if it goes as I would expect it to. First, standard skins. They would likely be at around 3200 IP, and never change. Ones that are a part of the set (Blood Moon, Pool Party, Pentakill, etc.) would cost a bit more, 4800 IP. Finally, ones that are "Special" (DJ Sona, Elementalist Lux, Pulsfire Ezreal, and Spirit Guardian Udyr) would be 10k IP. They're already fairly pricey by RP standards, so a massive IP cost only makes sense.

I leave it to the fans. Should there be a Skin Cost Revamp? Place your vote and if this gets enough attention, maybe it will work.

no, there is no point in skins having an IP value... unless they are something like 50k for the lowest of the low and 100k for the best ones then sure

so you wanna take away all the ways riots makes $ ? it is a business they have to generate income some how. if they have a lack of income and dont make $ they have zero reason to keep the game up to date, design and develop new things in game. pay employees , have the servers, the pro scene ... and everything in league.

so its a big NO

the game is free to play as is... riot rewards you in alot of ways... they create systems for you to earn free loot in game....

First: I never said remove RP. If they do that, like you guys have said, they would lose money. But they could at least make Hextech Chests easier to obtain if they put so much emphasis on them. I have 6 keys (Not keyshards. Keys.) and have only ever opened two chests since their very beginning. I get that they're a reward for good play, but still.
