A Plea on Illaoi

Look, I know she needs to be changed. She varies, from oppressive with her pull and incredible anti-engage, to weak, with her easy to escape abilities and lack of cc and tanky stats. I understand that. But I love her kit, I enjoy playing her and pulling off solid plays and counter-engages at that ELO where people start getting good enough to escape your shit but aren't good enough to shit on everything you own, and I think she has an incredible visual design and overall theme, tentacle jokes aside.

But I know she has to be changed in some way.

Now, I'm not here to make suggestions, as I'm biased in the worst way, and I doubt I could come up with anything better than Riot. I'm just hoping this gets out to one of you, and somehow makes you realize that she's in a good spot otherwise. She's fun to play for me, now, I'll admit that, but it's more than that. Here theme of testing people, her defensive lane control and health regain, her unique pull and the escalation of the fight it creates, even her heavy area control, these are all good solid parts of a puzzle that, according to the community, just didn't fit together well on the first try, and I can live with that. All I'm asking is, when Illaoi is gone over and adjusted to fit the game better, whether she becomes more or less powerful I could care less--balance changes are always coming, and I'm sure Illaoi will reach a good spot eventually. I just want her to feel the same, for that original goal she was made to reach kept in mind. That's all.

People here in low elo think that Illaoi is broken/overpowered/0 counterplay champion which is banned in 8/10 games. They don't know her weaknesses, and I think she is more weak than overpowered. My friend said to me "you can only play illaoi because she is broken" so I said "go ahead, 1v1 you go Illaoi I go do something else". So we went, I watched Illaoi's counterpicks and picked Gangplank because Illaoi counters him, I counterpicked myself because I was 100% sure I would win him anyway, I did, and he took his words back. :d Imo his W cooldown can be lowered just a little little... Little bit at early ranks so people can max her E second, which I prefer more than her W regards: Bronze's best Illaoi in euw (... Maybe, maybe not).
