Akali Jungle?

I was watching some of Kshaway's Wood Division videos when I saw an Akali jungle. Basically, she kept being utterly destroyed by the Red Buff, dying several times and only being able to kill it after killing the small creeps, dying, and then trying again. Bored and full of adult beverages, I tried it out in a custom game to see how bad it was. And the clear was, shockingly, really good. Krugs-Chickens-Red(Smite)-Wolves-Blue and was able to do so with only using 2 hits from the refillable potion and sans leash.

Has anyone tried this out in a real game? Her clear was pretty darn fast with E and I am wondering how she might work. Almost like a Diana without a Shield and more mobile. As good as Diana or Nidalee? No idea but her clear was decent enough that I am wondering if anyone has tried it out recently.
