This game is slowly starting to die for me, how about you ?
I don't know how Riot is doing overall but my fun factor with the game as greatly decline over the past years. Let me explain. When LoL started it was in the great DOTA era still on warcraft 3. Back then there was a few champions and only one map. As time passed, many improvement came to the game ; more champions, more items and some bug fixes. That was the good old time way before LoL made it "big". Then at one point thing started to get messy... map got reworked once, ok so far so good. Then they added new game modes wich was awesome... for a while but then it was too awesome to let those mode around for people to enjoy and removed them. Then came the item "balancing" when they changed most item and item's build path etc. Around this point thing got worse... because for their new items they also had to "rebalance" alot of champions. Bad idea. For me it was the worse. Almost all old timer champs got "reworked", some for the best some for the worse. At one point i did not play for a couple of months and when i came back i had no idea of what i was doing anymore, like playing a childhood game but remmembering it all wrong. Since then they didn't stop ; every patch trying to "fix", "balance" or """improve""" the game yet failing at every turn. I think that Riot became a monster hungry for money. Only trying to maintain an apperance of a game that "cares" about it's player/CLIENTS. So this is it, this is why i'm not playing as much or frequently and why i'm happy that other games of the genre have come out.

(Pre-kat rework, still trying to get used to new kat) The way I play these champs makes the game incredibly fun for me. I love being full build on master yi, with my 100% crit full attack speed 400 dmg build, diving into the enemy, dodging their cc with q's and getting a pentakill in the span of a few seconds, all 1v5. Or jumping onto your daggers as katarina dodging the enemies, trying to make a great play and eventually succeeding. Or that lvl 4 riven 1v2 top where you outplay both of the enemies and walk out with a double. The kind of things that tilt the enemy, make them rage in all chat about how "broken" a champ is, when in reality all you have to do to yi is land one stun and melt him, for kat just play around her daggers and be ready to lock her down when she ults, riven can be useless lategame if abused early, camp her lane and help top crush her. Stats like lethality are strong sure, but the biggest thing is there is always a counter, league is always changing and you need to adapt to new strategies and methods. Ask yourself why am I losing and why are they winning? Are they full armor tanks? Build lethality, and pen. Are they magic dmg based? build lots of mr, don't get caught out. Most ap mages are weak if you can actually kill them before their burst. Lethality is having its time, it will be subdued before long. And about riot being hungry for money? Riot is a _company _, they need money to keep the servers running, their employees paid, ect. The balance of the game can get spotty at times, but there are almost 140 champions, along with hundreds of items and much more to balance. It is a very fine art to balance this game, adding a small buff to an item can have ridiculous effects for a different champ with the same item.
I've been playing this game since mid season 4, I have seen the rise and fall of many metas, many new changes and so on. A moba requires constant tweaking to make it great. I belive that in at least some regard, riot does a great job of this.
I know most of what i said will be disagreed with, and I'm awaiting the downvotes. Before you do that, just take time to read and think about what ive said.
