Will champions like Yasuo and Gangplank be compensated for the PBE Infinity Edge change?

The Infinity Edge change makes sense. It aims to alleviate the stagnant ADC itemization, a goal I can appreciate. However, like most itemization changes, there are some edge cases where champions outside of the intended scope of the change are affected. Champions like Yasuo and Gangplank that build Infinity Edge but not Phantom Dancer are going to be negatively affected by this change.

Neither of those two champions (and I'm probably missing a few others that utilize IE but not PD) are deserving of nerfs. In fact, Yasuo recently received the opposite because he was performing so poorly. If this itemization change goes through, these champions will be hit by collateral damage.

When Lich Bane was nerfed for overperforming, Diana, Ezreal, Fizz, and Twisted Fate were directly compensated.

Can we expect something similar for champions like Yasuo and Gangplank?

They're probably going to check out the effect is has first. The problem I see is that in lich bane's case it was easy to compensate by slapping extra .2 ratios on some skills, but this change might be a bit harder.

Yasuo is insanely powerful and has a very low skill cap. He doesn't need compensation for anything.

With Yasuo's last buff I don't think he needs compensation

Though I'd prefer they look at LW/Void and defense in general rather than just hitting IE randomly

Mh, iirc it wasn't only about lich bane, it was also due to changes with Nashor's tooth.

Yasuo doesn't need compensation, he already sees plenty of play

Gangplank, hard to say~ Maybe

Lich bane champs got compensated because they changed how the lich proc works

All they are doing with IE is dropping 5% crit

Neither are really affected by the 5% crit loss. If naything the intent is to make it less of a rush item right now. They'll both be fine, though GP sucks generally so...

Yet they didnt compensate to the two champions who actually needed it to make them amazing, mordekaiser and poppy

Yasuo doesnt need the compensation, his passive already is the compensation, and gangplank should be fine too. 5% isnt that much.
