zed

Okay, this isn't a discussion complaining about zed. I just want to know a few things in how to use him.

Recently I bought zed while he was on sale and I've been trying to learn him ever since. However, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I feel like I don't have any burst, which I know zed has based on what I've seen other people do with him. But when you death mark a vane and get your full combo off and have her walk away with 50% health, it doesn't feel good.

So I play a lot of ahri and like two days ago I finally started using the dfg active before my charm in my combos and I found she did a heck of a lot more damage then she did without it. So my question is, do I need to be using the bork active to have burst with zed? If that's what I'm doing wrong please tell me because I have trouble remembering to use item actives all the time.

I want to improve my play and I feel if I started making more use out of my items I can do better. Any responses will be appreciated unless you're just a troll.

tip: when you ult a champion and spam your combo + ignite if you see a shuriken above their head it means your ult will finish them off guaranting a kill :) No shuriken on enemy head after ult and combo = no kill

Zed's ult combo involves landing q, e, bork active, and proccing his passive. Ulting full health champions at lower levels generally won't work too well, which is why Zed has an amazing poke in lane to slowly whittle his opponent down. Late game, however, if Zed ults squishy and you hit every spell along with bork active, and maybe an auto attack or so, the squishy should die. Then again, Zed is a very hard champion to mechanically play. You won't see any fantastic performances for a good while after you just bought him. Work on shadow play is my suggestion and everything else just falls into place.

Some early game build tips: DO NOT RUSH BOTRK. Start with long sword pots --> brutalizer/hexdrinker depending on lane opponent. Botrk after. Runes are very important also. VS AD go Armor/armor per level yellows, ad quints, armor pen reds, cdr/cdr per level blues. VS AP go hp per level yellows, ad quints, armor pen reds, mr/mr per level blues.

Counterbuilding is a huge part of the game especially as an assassin.
