When to roam.

I was wondering, from a higher end players, what's a good time to "roam". I've noticed especially when I'm nasus top lane that enemy gangs don't come from their jungle because I normally get a double kill from that...anyway most of their hanks come from their midlaner.

Now, I'd I'm winning my lane but haven't taken out the turret, should I roam to mid and try a gang or should I focus on getting that turret not just nasus cause I just stay in my lane and stack Qs but say I'm Jarven, should I roam to mid and help push their lane too?

I guess what I'm asking is, is good to roam or just stay where I'm at if I'm winning lane?

well i'm only in gold so not even close to the best advice but if you're indeed a stacking late game champ just cs in lane and try to zone out you're opponent if you're ahead if you have a good ganking champ like j4 you could go for it or even a tp bot

however if you're opponent is a hard pusher like say trundle or somthing this i garanteed a turret down maybe even more and if you want to roam be confident don't just go half at it and take to long if it failed hi tail back
