Just in case this new anti shield item idea ruins them. Quite a commendable act, and I'm glad that Meddler and the team are aware that these guys could be negatively affected by this item. But I just want to make sure you're keeping an eye on these champs as well.

Sona is one of the intended targets as is Ivern, Thresh, Lulu, Karma, Janna, and possibly Lux. They want to hit people who can shield allies with this, not people who are shielding themselves.
Meddler did say specifically that the item would have poor stats and would generally be a very bad choice if the enemy team is lacking in shields other than a Sion, so I doubt any of the self-shielding champions are going to suffer too much, except perhaps the champions who are completely dependent on their shields for extended trades (usually because of their insane durations).
That would be champions like Nautilus, Malphite, Mordekaiser, Tahm Kench and Yasuo.
