possible solution for lack of supports in solo q

Hey, first time starting a discussion. I was just thinking that maybe riot could add some incentive for people to queue as supports in solo q. Like an ip boost. doesn't have to be limited to supports, any role that's desperately needed at the moment. or maybe a group can create like a pot of their own ip. and give it as a gift when the support shows up. lets get some brainstorming going and maybe riot might see this and think it a good idea! sorry if i'm breaking any board post codes of conduct.

The reason there is a lack of supports is because a lot of people don't want to be the team's bitch.

Not a lot of supports actually get compliments for the work they do. I think supports just need more interesting items. Twin Shadows, Banner and other things would be pretty cool. Supports are almost always the last people to get their full builds too and usually they are just building utility or tank. Its kind of bland.

Maybe an item that can put a shield around a tower or something.

The support is the one role in the game that was not originally intended by Riot (at least, not in its current form). At the very beginning, no one even considered the idea that, in a duo lane, one person should take all the CS and another should do nothing but harass/threaten the opponents. This came about organically and was only solidified by Riot after they couldn't find a way to get rid of it.

The support gets no farm and no kills. The support can't kill anything alone. The support's main job is to keep opposing champions from killing your own team's champions that actually get to have fun killing people. You live vicariously through your teammates.

No one wants to play this. Half the fun of LoL is K/D/A.
