5 Suggestions for this Preseason
Hey! With the start of the preseason, that means large, general changes to the game. I'd like to present a small list of changes that I thought up which I feel would positively impact the game.
Not all of these are well thought-out, and I haven't had anyone to spring these ideas off of, so they may have obvious flaws that I overlooked.
1. Remove Homeguard buff on TP. Now that Homeguard is auto-granted after 20 minutes, this only reinforces the TP meta for what is otherwise already a strong summoner spell. (Sorry Hecarim)
2. Lower the MMR required to skip a series (no change for skipping divisions). It's never enjoyable to have to win your Gold V promos against Gold II players, and promos are a pain point for many players as is.
3. Allow teams to start surrender votes at 15 minutes. Game times are being shortened this preseason, so I think it's only natural that you should be able to decide a game is over earlier as well.
4. Reduce the CD of Clarity based on how few champions it affects. Shortening the CD of this spell based on how many players it helps out keeps it balanced, and may allow it to slip back into the meta
5. Dragon respawns every 5 minutes. With the shorter games, even if a team takes every dragon on the dot starting at 6 minutes it will still be 30 minutes before they reach 5th dragon, and these numbers are unrealistic to begin with. Dragon isn't a very realistic goal.
Give me your thoughts? I'm personally extremely excited for the preseason and looking forward to playing with the new changes as well!
