Is Jungle really so bad?

After reading a bunch of articles and various discussions with fellow players it would seem the Jungle role is a hot topic

Firstly even I have noticed when getting filled its usually jungle which is odd. For the last few months its been this way.

Im not a jungle player but I noticed the phrase better jungler wins is usually the truth in most games.

I mean whats going on with jungle is it so bad?

Jg is more dependent than ever on laners not hard losing, if your team gets behind as jungler and the enemy jungler knows what theyre doing you now lose every skuttlecrab/drag/rift and can get invaded for free.

Basically Jg xp and camp respawns have been nerfed so heavily that theres very little to fall back to if you get behind as a jungler, and because laners now scale so much harder b/c of the nerfed jg xp if you have 2 (god forbid all 3) lanes hard lose you are most likely just going to get dicked by those enemy laners.

After minute 6 jungle is irrelevant now. You will be under leveled the entire game and your gold income is gimped the entire time.

Next season they need to make it so junglers can be equal to laners on both level and gold throughout the game. Maybe even add a new camp, or adjust the current ones to encourage junglers to clear their camps. Either way I'd like to see jungle get some changes.

It's not better jg wins it's worse lanes make the jg look bad when the jg is so reliant on them playing lanes at a competent level.

No, but, also, yes.

In a game which plays out "properly" where people do relatively intelligent things most of the game and play to win to the best of their abilities, then jungle is an awesome role.

In a game which some stupid fiesta bull shit happens and someone gets three kills, then jungle sucks.

Mostly, this stems from the fact that once you have an advantage, lanes can more heavily press their advantage and "win harder" to a greater extent than jungle. Expanding a lead you obtain in the jungle is difficult, and certainly inconsistent.

Once upon a time, junglers could just fuck up a lane even if the lane was ahead, so long as the jungler had their health. (Usually cause laners were around 2/3 health from trading) Now, not so much. Especially as lanes become more about just shoving and not fighting, no smaller incremental trades like in previous metas.
