What is wrong with leagues matchmaking?

This is my first postings on this board place. But there seems to be a very large discrepancy in the matchmaking. I have read all sorts of different things on websites even the lol reddit but it seems there is something just broken with the matchmaking.

Do I just submit a bug report every game since this is obviously a bug?

Or should I just not play this game as I will never be paired against anyone even remotely close to my poor skill level?

Is this ranked or normals? I think riot shouldn't match up games with differences of entire teirs. I would much rather wait an extra 30 seconds to have a gold laner go against another gold than a silver 4 playing vs a gold 2 and garenteeing my loss

I feel like I get games against diamonds and games against bronze, mostly though i'm playing with people at my level (mid silver to mid gold)

There is nothing wrong with matchmaking. Websites like op.gg are simply spreading misinformation about mmr which is confusing people.
