I'm waiting for Phantoml0rd to throw a holy-shit-fit. Riot in the past has quickly changed their minds on things when high elo players/streamers are angry about something. Maybe he can help save Revive again like he did the first time Riot tried to remove it.

I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt with this one.

Surely they must have had a reason to remove it, nobody was picking it and it wasn't doing anything game-breaking in the current meta, so I cannot see why it had to be removed. {{summoner:10}}

Because 'no one picked it' when clairvoyance and clarity are still in the game, and it's unhealthy while Zed, Lee, and Kalista are allowed to exist on the roster as is. If you're expecting an answer, they can't give one because given those reasons, their logic wouldn't make much sense.

I agree, but they can't provide their reasoning because we can dispute every point they could make, so my guess is that they would rather not even try. And admitting that would cause the same level of "WTF" reaction if not more than what the silence has promoted.

Occasionally map-presence characters like bc his kit scales with health, or some rare top laners (again mostly ).

All summoners spells should stay there regardless. It's a thing to want the game balanced higher level. It's another to remove the fun of custom games / half troll builds

MS Hecarim got nerfed soon after his release, but is still played for fun in normals. Zombie Karthus is viable if you want to carry some games and still laugh at your death counter.

Revive is still a thing if you want to survive a late game base after an ace. Removing a summoner spell is just plain out removing diversity. It's not because most players consider it a troll summoner spell that it is.

Honestly, I play Clarity quite often on AP supports or midlaners with favorable matchups. allows you to push/harass like crazy in midlane so you can gank other lanes without missing cs. Harass to the point that enemy has to recall, then roam. are examples of champs I would use on.

As AP support, (mainly pre-patch , but also or ) you can really overwhelm early levels. Again: force to recall, deny them farm, farm more yourself and help other lanes.

later game the teamfights can go your way when everyone suddenly gets 40% mana.

i picked it when i started playing, like once. Then i realized it didn't cancel out the death like and the cd was so long I was basically admitting "yeah i plan to die a lot" and stopped

Or they could leave it and just add more anyways. I know quite a few people who used it a lot and this really pissed them off. I would rather have had them keep it as an option instead of just taking it out. They didn't even replace it or anything, they just got rid of it.

I thought the same, and now I am starting to think that might actually have been the reason they removed it
