I know numerous ADCs counter GP on top, but what top laner counters him? From my experience the champion would have to have a lot of early poke and be able to sustain through GPs poke. I was thinking maybe Yorrick but when a real fight breaks out just one barrel will wipe out all 3 ghouls. Any ideas?
Gnar, Yas, Irelia, and Fiora are all miserable for GP.
Darius, Riven, Olaf are ok as well, depends how good the GP is

irelia is the hardest lane i've had. riven can be dealt with. she can kill you obviously. but its much easier for irelia to all in you especially with no full item at 6 irelia has more all in potential and you will most likely die to her if your gangplank.

Pretty much every top laner does. The ones who don't would be like Nasus, maybe Kennen. Everything else is either a skill match up or is in favor of the other champ. His laning is pretty bad.
