Flex queue is RANKED, right?

I am currently ranked Bronze 1 in flex, why am I being queued with and against people who are currently ranked Platinum/Gold? In my first promotional game out of bronze, I was matched with 2 unranked (flex) players, a Platinum 5 and a Gold 1; and matched against a Bronze 2, Silver 1, a Gold 4, a Silver 2, and a Silver 3... What kind of match making is that? Especially for a promotion game... absolutely disgusting.

3 divisions should never separate any players, and that large of a skill gap in a promotional game...?

But what are they ranked in flex?

Right now theres lots of people with high solo queue ranks with low flex ranks, which makes things somewhat messy until things settle.

Those are all flex rankings, solo queue rankings (last season) are more ridiculous.

That seemed odd, so I actually looked up everyone in your linked match, and you were against a silver, 2 low golds, and two unranked as far as flex ranks go, which seems within the realm of reason if your teams ranks are accurate.

At least one of them was plat in solo/duo, so that may have caused some confusion there.
