Hey Riot, is it just me or are supports usually the first one to be in line of the nerf cannons?

I don't know, it seems like the largest amount of patch updates that involve nerfs directly or indirectly to supports are the most abundant. Still can't believe that you guys are considering increasing Soraka's E CD even more, it is as if she is the biggest threat to the game or something and deserves top priority to be nerfed because she is...freelo? I also seen that you guys have not released a new support in quite some time now...A lot of the new champions are for # bigLCSplays with lots of damage but not too many to help our ADC master race.

Braum was fairly recent dude. If you're gonna make a point, make sure your facts are straight so as not to lose credibility.

I agree with you on nerfs being aimed unfairly at supports. Some Rioters have even posted they believe support needs some serious love. I don't think anyone knows wtf the balance team's issue with support is. It may just be really hard to balance, but forumites have offered loads of great ideas to fix certain issues Riot takes weeks to figure out -if they even do. Lulu needs a rework. Sona needs... work. Soraka... idk yet. She'll probably be amazing with the new item changes as well as Braum. Their weaknesses will be fairly compensated. Dunno about how Morgana will fair. It's likely the stun and shield will keep her a force to be reckoned with even if Braum, Thresh, and Soraka get power spikes in the next patch from all the items.

Season 4 tripled spendable support income, that is money that can be spent on items instead of consumables. The only changes to compensate were some minor base number or ratio tweaks and the addition of utility scaling.

It effectively gave every single support infinite mana and 40% CDR (or real defensive stats for tanks) , of course there's going to be some issues.

Out of the last 20 champions releases, three are dedicated supports (Nami, Thresh, Braum) and two more are played mostly as support (Zyra, Vel'koz).

Early s4 riot gave supports scaling. This was a huge buff to solo lane supports, who were often oppressive, so they had to be nerfed in response.

Braum was released recently.

They are meant to be super powerful without any gold. Of course they get nerfed a lot.
