Do not take away solo queue.

Is this seriously a future thing in league?

I heard that ranked was going to basically include premades beyond just 2 people. If that is true, league will die. Only the people who have made it already or have groups of friends ready to play, will ever move forward again. Assuming they are good enough of course. This also assumes that you queue up and get stuck with a premade. Which will happen A LOT unless they set it up to not happen a lot. Which is why I am posting this. You will no longer be able to rely on your self and a group that might listen to you. If they do make it where premades are a thing, your fate is in their hands no matter how good you are.

This theory of mine, that league will fail with this system, is proven in unranked games. Where premades already exist. I have a first hand experience at dealing with premades. I play unranked games to warm up and test my self before I go into ranked. I do this A LOT, so I know this world quite well.

Anyway, in these unranked games, I ALWAYS encounter a premade that is too busy doing God knows what and doesn't want to end. That, or they are not the ones winning the game for the team, so they refuse to let it end. They want to be the hero and they are willing to throw until they are.

Real fast, I don't play unranked to dick around. I didn't queue up to get stuck with 4 people that want to go into this game and lose. If you want to do that crap, go play a custom game. I am forced to be in here with you, I didn't sign up for that shit, the least you can do is make all of our time worth it since we were forced to put up with one another. That, or again, go play a custom. Match Making doesn't exist for your amusement. It exists to help people get together to play a competitive game. If you want to play AP Cait, customs are a thing.

Anyway, an example of the situation that you will encounter if you are forced to play with premades is this.

I was playing with a 4 man group. They were doing, meh... I was owning face. Because I was the one carrying the game, and it isn't the premade, my premade group decided to not end it and to draw it out until they are carrying just as hard as me. But, in this example, the enemy was better than they were, so they just ended up getting owned over and over again. They don't realize that it was actually me winning them the game and they try to prove it and get slapped in the face. This game actually happened.

In this example, a game I just played, I had over 15 kills and 0 deaths. With my huge lead, I was trying to force things down and end the game. BUT, my team, the premades, basically refused to do anything I said and did everything I said not to do and they never came to help at all. I told them in advance and I pinged and all of that. I got nothing. We ended up losing that game.

After the first 30 minutes, after we should have won the game already, the next 20 minutes went on and I got pretty annoyed. They were dying left and right. I got most of my kills because I had to clean up their messes. Oh, and BTW, I was playing Garen, I am supposed to be the one leading the charge, but apparently, they needed to be the ones to do it because they needed to show off and prove them selves. They needed to despite the fact that they were all glass cannons. And of course they were right because they all knew one another and I was the one in the wrong because I was the odd man out.

Anyway, we ended up losing that game that should have been a free win because they were a premade that refused to let the game end because they were not the ones winning it.

And that is my problem with this idea. That game was out of my hands despite the fact that I was carrying as hard as anyone could. I have no way to control this situation or to try to carry a win from a loss. There is no way you can take a group of 4 people who will never agree with you, unless you are famous or lucky, and win the game. They will always want to do what they want to do and you will always be wrong because it is 4 against 1. And again, that is what I deal with in unranked already today. And that is what will we see in ranked too if you guys enforce this on League.

tl;dr? Go read it anyway.

League started with this type of queuing and look it's not dead and won't die because of it.

Yeah I was very disappointed that they were removing Solo Queue and replacing it with a SECOND Team Queue.

We already have a team queue... they're destroying one of the core methods of playing their game for absolutely no reason, gg.

Worthless overreaction and over analysis. Noone gives enough of a fuck to take normals seriously the way you do, and so ofc your premade experience is also almosrt worthless data when it comes to how it will play out in ranked.

For fucks sake, ranked mmr and normals mmr are different anyway so getting a 'balanced' 5v5 match in normals with all solos is a crapshoot anyways.

Honestly, there are probably dozens of reasons why your theory doesn't hold any value. Just wait and see.

First of all, you never had solo queue; duo is exactly as destructive as trio/quad queue will be.

Secondly, your "fate" is in the hands of four other people regardless of whether or not they themselves are on a mic together.

My last two fourmans were actually quite positive experiences; of course there are terrible ones but if four trolls were spread out amongst four different games (one of which you were in) they all would have lost anyway.

Should there be a solo queue? Of course! But pretending that this is the end of the world is ridiculous. Play well and a duo or trio might pick you up and roll with them, then you're not solo anymore. It's a team game; individual skill is important but a less skilled person who understands teamwork and game flow SHOULD be rewarded over a jackass with technical skills (which more often than not winds up in successive failed 1v4's anyway followed by shouts of team reports, you've all seen it). Start learning how to work with people; you had to do it before, and you have to do it when you're done playing too.
