How does one lane & burst with Syndra?

Hi, I'm someone looking to play Syndra. I enjoy skillshots, and I heard she has amazing burst & AoE with cc. In lane, I get out poked, and while Syndra's burst is good, I'm unable to finish enemies quickly/effectively when I could. I'm looking for some principles/combos which are useful for the laning phase with her. Anything that could help me become a better Syndra would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I hate syndra with a passion as an ahri main but I pick her up from time to time. You have to kind of predict where your enemy will be because her abilities have a slight delay to them (with the exception of her E and R I believe, could be wrong on that). Usually pre-6 you want to poke them down and bully them out of farm. Thats her main specilty. If they are around 75 is HP you can just spawn a couple of balls, this is where you want to land the Scatter the Weak stun. If your balls are levelled you should have enough time to spawn two which totals your ult to five balls. Position one to stun, doesn't matter where the other is and that's about your basic all in combo.(?)

Thanks! What do Syndras use/abuse to poke/harass you in lane?

What you wanna do is, first, pick up Practice tooling or you could even do a game with me and yourself to test stuff out xD but I believe you can pick up a minion with your picker-Upper thing, and hold it while you cast an orb on your opponent. Hit them with both at the same time, plus an auto and your trade is there! Her range on auto attacks is pretty ridiculous, rivalling Anivia's range( My old main <3) which is REALLY far.

Kinda

You can probably get a Q+Q+W the first q before it expires, Land W on target, Q+R and 6 sphere ult to finish the target (early game after thunderlords, if you landed all of that its an easy kill assuming no barriers or heals).

Its harder to do and I dont think 7 sphere is possible without blue buff early but 6 sphere is possible.

Although I could be wrong, I suck as syndra and I'm level 6 on her.

Try Cho gath. Doran ring 2 health pot. Magic Null Cape on first back, build Banshee Veil if ahead (AP) Spirit Visage if behind (Hp and regen buff) Both offer Magic Resist. If Syndra can Q you you should be able to Q her. Figure 8 pathing patterns do well on dodging her q, her w, and make her landing her stun difficult and if she does it makes less difference since you've been walking around her other spells. Do this off of your minion wave so her spells don't hit your creeps regardless. Make her moves miss you and the wave.

A solid q landing leads up to you walking up and auto'ing with a Feral Scream. Thunder Lord with Ignite available and you win the trade/have potential to finish. Rinse , repeat, sustain off Doran and Cho's Passive. As soon as you hit lvl6 (save up mana for this while you're lvl5) immediately go for a Feast execute. If you can't, don't waste time not feasting on a canon creep to get your stacks going.

Oh yes, this was extremely helpful. I'm currently a Challenger lvl Syndra who now identifies as a ChoGath. Ever since I transitioned to ChoGath, my KDA has been perfect for the past 50 games. I feel much more comfortable in my body as a ChoGath, I am no longer playing as Cho, I have become Cho itself.

You completley deprived me of my follow up response. You ruined it. Take a joke. Or at least let the punchline drop. Flat face

You'll have to learn ur opponents dodging style/movement patterns. The q and w have a slight delay. Additionally the wonky nature of the w spell cast (the arch) can sometimes mess with how u want to throw it when u first start playing her. In lane you have to be wary of how you use her abilities as she's quite mana hungry (if you really want to practice managing her buy a dark seal instead of dorans) remember to judge when to trade/poke (as she's a lane bully) Try to farm and trade at the same time when you use ur spells to clear the wave. Additionally if you are just clearing a wave the w-q will generally clear the caster minions. (W a melee minion and throw it into the caster minion then q) Landing a w before a q is often more beneficial than trying to land a q then follow with w (unless you are trying to zone them into a spot. Learn to chain Syndra's spells (the aim is to become fluid, using each spell to later interact with the next one) Ball management is key when trying to maximize the ult, you need to remember which is your most current ball and how long it has been up, do this well enough and you'll be able to pull of 7 ball ults. However you must still do this while efficiently using ur abilities. Do not cast them just for the sake of having a stack up if there's something more u can be doing with it.... You also need to take into mind the ranges of her abilities. There really isnt a set "chain" of abilities you should use, all of her abilities can be used to set up a new order of a chain (she's a fluid champion) it just means some chains are easier to pull off than others. Once you get used enough to her ranges you can do the e-q/ e-w chain rather than the q-e/w-e chain. The e-q/e-w chain is much harder to pull off (and if you dont it can be quite devastating for the syndra) but it provided a longer cc and displacement. Take into mind what is necessary at each fight/team fight. Sometimes it's better to save the E for after you use ur ult to provide a reliable teamwide stun, sometimes it's better to use the e stun to provide the initiation.
