Try , she goes really well against these champions. She's fun to play(for me atleast), rewarding to master(see Froggen), and can easily carry a game.

and because levels 1-5 kassadin is a melee squish who anivia is definitely capable of bullying and she scales super hard

Or is it because her auto harass gets past his passive damage reduction and holding her stun means kassadin never gets to jump onto you and she can push hard enough to deny kassadin from roaming?

his passive only reduces magic damage, not physical so auto attacks are unaffected

Ahri is basically a counter to Anivia, unless the player is just awful (most of them are, FOTM stuff).

Because unless you are A; bad or B; caught completely by surprise, Anivia cant do anything to you. Dodging her Q at long range is easy, at short range you can just throw out EWQ and do a ton of damage, either preventing her Q cast, or at least preventing the recast and stun.

If you have your ult up, you can ignore every one of her abilities except E, which will do no damage by itself. Her R only doubles E damage when fully expanded now.

I main anivia mid and I ban ahri about half the time. She's just a bitch. She can go through your wall, nice q damage, good mobility to dodge your q, the charm really fucks you, of course. But I don't know anyone else who would really counter an ahri and I do OKAY against her in lane.
