Viktor's Ult Should Go Over Walls

  1. The champion moves through a wall, you flash over, and your ult is useless for 7 seconds.
  2. It's a storm and is above the trees.
  3. Most champions have more mobility than Viktor and this cripples him.
  4. Viktor has no silence on his ult anymore. This is bullshit if the cloud doesn't even go over walls. I ALWAYS miss ulting Ahri, Yi, etc because they just move out of the way super quickly. Then I die because I have no escape after missing.

Also autoattacks do more damage than Viktor's shield so it's almost useless.

concerning your last point, remember that your shield scales with AP

Concerning your first point: I completely agree, but, if possible, only if you're already on the other side of the wall.

I concur.

Viktors actually a strong champ when played correctly. I dont think he needs any buffs or nerfs. I just can't stand him because his Q is like trying to cast Rumble's ult every 10 seconds. F**k that. Thats probably why he's not a very popular pick as well

They removed his silence? I don't get this one.

And if that's the case, I'd agree with the strom passing trought terrain.

OMG! i never thought about his ult doing that, it makes a lot more sense if it does now that i think of it.

I think it would be really awesome if they did that.

WeFlyNoLie3/5/2015, 11:03:27 PM3 votes

While I don't agree with the rest of your points, I think the storm having the ability to go over walls makes sense. I don't think this would be a game breaking buff, but would be a fair change for Viktor.

Technically this makes perfect sense. I haven't posted on the boards that much lately, but just wanted to comment that Viktor's ult doesn't move fast enough where if they did flash over a wall or dash it the ult still wouldn't be able to follow anyways. Beyond that you could simply cast it over the wall.

I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure if it would make any difference. Makes me miss old Viktor.

Viktor is actually pretty strong atm with amazing counter or follow up initiate (which will be nice if the upcoming jungle changes actually bring back tanks) and very high burst damage. And his shield is far from useless and has saved me many times, especially since his q has a relatively low cd.

ok you obviously haven't seen how much damage viktor can do. here's an idea, don't ult a very mobile champion if your ult is avoidable by very mobile champions. problem solved. that shield is also WOW A SHIELD!!! so if it does veigar ult damage, and also shields you, wouldn't that be a little strong for a champ who already does very high damage? also, champion abilities happen to have a shorter cooldown than flash, so using it to burst a flash can tend to be a good trade.

Viktor main here. His shield is incredibly useful, almost no one can trade with him in lane up close because of it.

Desiderium5/12/2015, 1:22:30 AM1 votes

No. Part of Viktor's design is that he's one of the few mages that has walls as an offensive weakness. His laser can already go through them despite that. His ult need not do the same.

Terchio3/5/2015, 10:52:58 PM1 votes

Viktor's problem is that he's a supposed bag of tricks, but they don't exceed in any particular niche. Others simply do it better, or more reliably. I think he's still only useful for his E burst, and the rework dropped a hefty chunk of that in most cases. His other old "identities"? Well, his escape mobility has always been fair, though only in a bruiser-type capacity, thanks to Q, but now he doesn't deal damage while escaping without autoattacking. Additionally, trying to tag sustain with Q fell by the wayside thanks to the general lack of spell damage on his only single-target skill. His niches are suffering, and all he got out of it was to keep his AP passives, which only trickle onto a real mage's kit. Ult going over walls would help Vik out, but personally, I don't see that catching up to many enemies that flash over a wall to escape.

Maybe a little range increase on his E as well? I mean come on how many times does people screw up viktor's combo because of his E, especially when u max it first!

Silverthane3/6/2015, 1:11:30 AM1 votes

i wanna learn how to play viktor but holy shit that lazer is annoying to aim xD

Mechanizen3/6/2015, 3:41:54 PM1 votes

Yes Viktor's ult need to go over walls. That's right after casting it is a bit usless against mobility champs. Viktor is realy strong but that's the only point which is realy problematic.

Friendly lvern3/6/2015, 4:24:59 PM1 votes

I main Viktor atm, but I have a question abt the last point you mentioned. Viktor has silence on his ult before?

Stevev453/6/2015, 4:35:34 PM1 votes

Nothing exist between the walls. So it would have to instantly jump over.

MrBuffington3/6/2015, 4:45:35 PM1 votes

While I agree it makes a lot of sense thematically, I'm not sure Viktor really needs a buff right now; he's plenty strong imo and picking up traction in LCK right now

It's probably made of minions.
