Losing a tower early has been a common occurrence since mid season 6. They made games faster because of the pro play being too boring or some shit like that. It resulted in feeders reigning supreme as the deciding factor behind which team wins the game.
Because if the Rift Herald was worth contesting, you wouldn't keep 5 manned in the bot lane.
Cause Either they will contest it, or trade it for that first tower blood.
