Why can't I hold all these chest keys

(The title is a meme, I haven't actually discovered a chest key cap)

That being said, I do have an excessive amount of keys; I almost always get at least one or two keys (yes, whole keys, not just fragments) in between when I receive a chest from play. Anyone else have this issue? I feel like the chest system could use a bit of rebalancing considering you can A: only receive a chest once per champ per year and B: receive key fragments just by logging in randomly during sporadic play. At least let me junk them for blue essence or something. The once-per season cap on chests also clashes significantly with the champion level system; you can't level your champion up past rank 5 at a reasonable pace without losing out significantly on chest drops.
