If you win, you gain LP. If you lose, you lose LP

getting fed doesn't mean you win. Your choices matter a lot more than kills. Just learn to play the map better and even if your team is 0 vs 10 you can out rotate and get objectives across the map, control waves so that you gain cs and exp and the enemy loses waves to the turret contesting objectives, learn to give up objectives and just overall do better.

How much you gain or lose is based on who you're playing with/against. For example, if the enemy team is on average ranked higher than your team you will gain more rank for beating them and less for losing. Opposite that if you beat a team of lower ranked players you gain less points and you lose more if they beat you. There's a lot more nuance than that: It's called an ELO system (used in various other competitive things like Chess) if you want to look into it more.

In a nutshell it sounds like you probably played some games against weaker players and lost more points for your losses and gained very little for your wins.

There is a phenomenon in league known as the "loss streak" or "win streak" and you may notice some days on League you stomp (winning multiple games), while other days repeat bad team mates lead to repeat losses. On days where you have a loss streak either take a break or switch accounts. That's my only advice.
