While I'm still a newb to league, I want to find a main. When it comes to real life I'm fine,but with league I find myself to be a hipster. I want a champ that people tend to forget about. I'm not talking about the champs everybody knows is unpopular but nobody plays them (galio, urgot, poppy). I'm talking about champs like xerath where everybody pretty much let him to die. Please answer.

If you want to be a true hipster, then you should only play release Champions, those who were available when the game came out and no one after that. Bam.
When I want to be a hipster I just play King Rammus.
You might want to look into someone like Fiddlesticks or Nocturne. They are both very strong when played to their strengths, however they have enough weaknesses to make them non-meta. The meta is based around consistency, and champions that have a higher risk to them, even if there is also a higher accompanying reward, often get forgotten.
If you learn to handle the risk these two champs have a huge reward to them.
Corki sees some play in the pro's, but the majority of players don't know how to play or master Corki. He's okay in some aspects, especially against certain ADC like Jinx or Lucian.
Nocturne got a recent buff in his ult range, but other than that he's been under the radar and is actually really good
I get it. For me I just don't enjoy seeing the same champions every game, so that's why I choose ones that aren't popular.

I'd put Zyra on there too, but I fully expect many people to play her with the coming buffs she's scheduled to receive.

I don't understand people like you, can you explain to me exactly why you value the popularity of the champion so much? I see people like this all the time on the boards, is it an ego thing? Like "I won with an unpopular champion I'm so pro," or something like that.
Why not just pick a champion that you like regardless of who else is playing them. Isn't the only thing that actually import is how you are playing the champion?
