List of untouched champions in 2018 and small toughts on Riot 2018 decisions

These champions have seen no changes (nerf/buff) in the entire season according to lol patch notes and their current winrates/pickrates (op.gg)

  1. Alistar --> 52.09%/19.15%
  2. Ashe --> 50.76 %/5.52%
  3. AurelionSol --> 54.78%/1.74%
  4. Blitzcrank --> 51.24 %/9.25%
  5. Chogath --> 49.15%/3.59%
  6. Diana --> 49.77%/2.03%
  7. Draven --> 50.47%/2.75%
  8. Illaoi --> 52.14%/3.77%
  9. Jayce --> 51.16%/6.29%
  10. Maokai -->51.09%/2.84%
  11. Mordekaiser --> 51.97%/0.62%
  12. Nami --> 51.34 %/9.27%
  13. Nidalee --> 52.28%/9.45%
  14. Soraka --> 50.59%/9.95%
  15. Teemo --> 49.82%/4.66%
  16. TwistedFate --> 51.72%/12.86%
  17. Udyr --> 51.46%/1.65%
  18. Veigar --> 50.09%/3.54%
  19. Xerath --> 51.09%/6.18%
  20. Zilean --> 53.57%/5.01%

So in general, these champions are in a pretty good spots except for AurelionSol Mordekaiser Udyr, but they have a pretty good win rate. Let's check something else :

Top 3 overly touched champions in the season (mentioned in 8+ patches) Taliyah --> 52.80%/8.39% Ryze --> 44.10%/8.67% Rengar --> 48.73%/5.59%

Pretty good pick rates honestly.

Useless end of season nerfs Sejuani --> 45.15%/2.12%

I still don't understand why Sejuani was nerfed, nor why Riot is totally silenced about it (c'mon stop taking your community for man babies, everyone saw what you did there). Anyway, it seems the more the balance teams works, the less efficient their work is. I'm not saying they shouldn't work at all, just that too many changes fucks up your entire meta. Just check patches 8.1 through 8.6, then 8.9 through 8.15. Taliyah and Ryze are almost in all of them, still not fixed at the end of the season. PBE isn't there for nothing....

Out of 171 champions, Riot's balance team seems to focus on high-pick rates champions at the exception of Alistar Blitzcrank Nami Nidalee Soraka TwistedFate , which are mostly ap-mages. Last season, there was a strong focus on them and healing supports, this season it's the contrary. To me, it explains mostly why this season ahs been so snowbally : mega nerfs to support healing items with no adaptation on all of these champions (except for Sona that was deep down in Elo Hell). As a main support, I disagree with this mentally. Let's hope for better changes next season.

I wouldn't include ADCs on that list; all of them had direct stat nerfs, Draven and Ashe included.

nid only manages that winratre in the top elos

and thats only becuase she has people who set up ganks for her so. and the amount fof skill it takes to lane a spear when yoru laner CCes them a LOT lower.

she need a massive amount of teamwork to do that. in most elos she is around 48- low 50%

It's also snowbally because top lane tanks have been getting bullied out of lane since the midseason 7 tank update gutted their items, and were then hit again by the new rune system which offers far more in the way of early offensive stats than defensive ones. No longer can tanks take things in stride under tower, as Siegemaster, Fearless, and Legendary Guardian no longer exist to bolster defenses under a tower dive. Because teams don't have a high level tank to power through the mid game in fights, the opposing team with a carry top, even if they couldn't take top tower early, will still have forced the tank out of lane enough to remove the only thing stopping a full on snowball from carrying through the rest of the game.
