aegis itemization

could we add the item 1028 +item 1033 into item 3211 adding item 1006 for item 3105 or item 1006 +item 1028 into item 3801 adding item 1033 for item 3105

instead of item 1033 + item 1006 +item 1028 for item 3105

because most of the time supports are getting it and needing 1k gold when you ahve the 3 items takes long sometimes and takes place if you dont have stone yet or even if you want aegis as a third item you wont be able to take multiple pinks? The first option might be hard to do since you would remove a unique passive after youved changed it into legion but in a lane vs an ap support or ap damages adc (given corki/ezreal or kog) itll be a top item to get.

If I remember right, some rioter said they DELIBERATELY made it hard to purchase, since it really is such a powerful item. if they were to make it easier to get, they'd have to weaken it.

the total cost would remain unchanged in OP's scenario; aegis would not become "easier to get". the recipe change would just consolidate item slots

You can't seriously believe number of slots was Riot's intended means of making the item hard to buy, can you?

Honestly, I just wish they cut the rejuve bead out of it altogether - I wouldn't really miss the HP regen.

I think you misunderstand. Imagine Amp tome built into Blasting Wand which built into Needlessly Large Rod. Even if they still cost the same amount, obtaining the higher level item becomes much easier because you can have that extra AP while you wait instead of having NOTHING until you can afford the entire 1600g. If you died or were forced to back at 1400g at least you could buy something while you waited.

Same concept here. By forcing you to sit on the lower end items for a while until you can buy the full item, it allows the full item to be more powerful. If you could be that gold efficient (considering the gold you are not using while you are waiting to complete the item as lost for no stats while you are still waiting to finish it) the entire time of building the item, it is MUCH easier to get to the item in question.

Like just as an exaggeration, but imagine you could spend 20 gold per AP and stack it into a single item slot (up to 1600 for Needlessly Large Rod). Like you could buy 75 AP in one item slot for 1500g. Or buy 60 AP for 1200g. There would no longer be any 'waiting to buy Needlessly Large Rod' or anything since you can just buy however much you can get that particular time you went back. This destroys the entire point of Needlessly Large Rod costing 1600 for 80 AP, which is the most gold efficient between it, Amp Tome, and Blasting Wand.

Aegis is about 120% gold efficient with only a single teammate near you, going up to about 225% efficiency with your entire team in range. Locket is about 155% gold efficient with a single teammate near you (with its active if all the damage is blocked), going up to a whopping 290% efficiency if you get a full 5 man shield and maintain the aura on your team.

Now, for these items to be this powerful, it isn't that outrageous for the build path of these items to not be super smooth. The power spike you get more than makes up for the small items you have to sit on while building it.

I agree. Supports usually don't have room for extra items and this change would be a great help.

yea, really doesn´t make sense to have it build up that clunky, especially as it´s mostly supports and junglers getting punished here - and they usually already suffer enough for the sake of the team anyway.

Slightly off topic.. but I wish there were more aura items.. like remember runic bulwark? and remember when will of the ancient's gave a stacking spell vamp aura? XD Well for now to replace my runic bulwark, i'll just have to go Taric item 3105 :3

I think Riot has gone on record stating that they dislike auras in general, since it's a hidden power.

As HungryOuroboros mentioned, Aegis has a deliberately clunky recipe to make the item harder to buy, because the item is a) really good on tanks, who'd have their MR options significantly buffed if Aegis had a better recipe, and b) really good against mages, especially AoE and poke mages, who'd have much more trouble making a dent in the enemy team at the end of the laning phase if the tank/bruiser already got Aegis. I really want it to build out of a Crystalline Bracer too, but I think the state of MR and magic damage (or even Aegis) needs to change a little for that to happen.
