New Runes Shadow Armor
Hello Riot! Thank you for creating a diverse build path for the hundreds of champions you have to deal with. Overall I love the different play-styles that have developed from the new runes but there is a large issue that needs to be dealt with. A while back Riot executed it's transition from armor penetration to lethality opening a door for ad-based, non-attack speed based, champions to thrive. This allowed champions like Zed, Jayce, Lee-sin, and other bursty spell-based champions to come back into rotation. However, recently the integration of the new runes has caused a mathematical favoring towards these champions. Armor prevents ad damage from happening. Armor penetration used to subtract from opponents armor to reach higher damage calculations. With lethality still in play (and armor runes no longer around to protect us) we saw a very small buff to armor in recent patches. Along with armor buffs we also saw slight lethality buffs. Currently ad based champions like the ones listed above are dealing not only true damage, but multiplicative damage (with new runes and ability scaling). Please Riot prevent me from always dying in .8 seconds every time one of these champions are in my game!
