Yay promos!

So after having 99 Lp because I didn't deserve to have 100 after winning my last game, I won my next game and got into promos. Yay right. Well good thing my first game enemy graves was 16/2 by 18 min, oh its fine i got two more right? Next game get an afk.... great i love this game, ranked sure is a great way to test my skill when I have to deal with bullshit like this. Out of the 6 games of ranked i played today I had 2 afks on my team. Why isn't there a system yet to forgive losses when you have an afk? It's one thing if they rage quit but when they don't even connect it's a lost game before it even starts. Why can't the game just dis abandon and take away LP from the person who didn't connect? Now 4 other people have to lose Lp when it wasn't even there fault. It blows my mind there is nothing to deal with games like these. It is one of the main reasons I hate playing ranked.

They should remove promos for everything except the jump from one tier another. (ie, bronze to silver, silver to gold, etc)

I mean they are pretty silly considering you can win enough to reach promos 100 times but just get extremely unlucky every time in promos and lose 2 games. Just REACHING promo games shows you should graduate to the next level. It really does feel like Riot just wants you to grind your way out and get lucky during promos to continue.

Though I get the reason behind promos... Riot wants you to feel like you are playing in the world series or superbowl or whatever... and put weight on these specific games. Which is why I think it would be okay to keep the promos for tier jumps. But man... There's nothing worse than being at a specific level rank for a while, finally climbing up to 100LP, then getting super unlucky and dropping down to like 65LP. It's a total kick to the shins.

Right now all you can do is take comfort in the fact that eventually you will climb out. Since you reached 100LP at that rank once, you can definitely do it again.

Yup, grinded my way up yesterday and was so excited I finally got to my friggin promos I was up an extra hour smiling.

Woke up this morning and lost both games, 1 due to an afk, the second due to someone who should have but chose to "troll" (would have preferred an afk) and the first game out of my promos another 4v5 afk (they never even connecteD).

MY luck is balls and seeing as I've played since 2011 I am damn tired of losing games due to 4v5s already with nothing being done about it or even talked about being done about it.

I Tried to play ranked at the end of season 3 (I just wasn't interested before then) and I gave up after a month because I was so scared of just losing from afks. I had so many that I filed a report, got the equivalent of an eye roll from a response, then a second response of something like "wow you really did have a lot, what bad luck, we are so, but don't let it get you down" etc etc. Even the support guy was confused how I was so unlucky lol

I've been trigger shy about ranked ever since then and just get so flustered when it happens I don't want to be bothered playing ranked for days.

yes division promos are fucked

don't forget the part where you can't gain LP above 100 during promo so if you get into promos then win before losing, you lose extra LP than if you lost first.

lose lose = 40 lp lost as it should be win lose lose = 40 lp lost bs lose win lose = 20 lp lost - this is as it should be and as the above should be

I've gotten into my Gold 5 promos 3 times back to back and lost all of them.
